My Most Beautiful Adventure Day 5

May 10, 2011

Even though my family’s luggage with lots of wedding stuff inside was lost, even though my fiancé’s cell phone was left in a taxi and no one can get a hold of me now, even though my wedding officiant’s flight was canceled, even though my Mom has laryngitis and is not able to give me words of wisdom, even though the list goes on and on. . .there is always time to stop and smell the flowers and smile!  I am getting married to the love of my life and that is all that matters.

Oh no! In the end, you will be married and that IS all that matters. Just think of the stories you can tell your children! Love you.

It’s okay, such is life, right??? That which doesn’t kill me only makes me stronger. Might give me wrinkles, but that’s what Botox is for…haha just kidding! 😉

Oh I only told just a few of the disasters that have happened. I would need about 10 blog posts to tell everything! But, I’m the eternal optimist, so everything will be okay!!! 🙂

It is a good thing you are a seasoned traveler. Every traveler knows that great adventures are filled with set backs. It is how we deal with these that determine the awesomeness of the trip. I know that you will still have a beautiful wedding.

I truly think that because I’m a seasoned traveler it has stopped me from having a nervous breakdown haha! Don’t worry, there is still going to be one hell of a wedding!!!

OMG…honey…I’m just catching up to my blog reader…had no idea you were having so much trouble. Listen – I had problems EVERY step of the way with our wedding…on the night, the buttons holding up the train of my dress ripped and I had to hold the train over my arm when I danced. I didn’t even get to have my father daughter dance because I was in the bathroom dealing with it. And I paid a small fortune for my dress! (still so mad) We had issues with every vendor along the way – at moments I wanted to cry. You know what? It was still an amazing day and all that mattered at the end of it was that John and I got married. And those little things melt away when I think of the day with all our friends and family.
It will all be perfect, just like your love.
Cheesy but true! Let me know if John and I can help you with anything. xoxo

Yikes! You sound like you have my luck (and Andrea’s…no wonder her and I get along so well lol). Keep your positive attitude and Andrea shared some great advice! I have faith everything will work itself out — don’t stress yourself out otherwise you will be a mess on your wedding day and that will be even worse. Sending big hugs!
