Bermuda: Day 3

May 6, 2013

We awoke on our last day in Bermuda with a sadness in our hearts, as we were not ready to leave this majestic island that we had come to love so quickly.  However, we were determined to make the most of our remaining time there.  Thus, we flung open the doors to our gorgeous room at Rosewood Tucker’s Point, a Kiwi Collection recommended hotel, and ordered room service to enjoy on our spacious terrace.

The entire menu looked delicious, so we asked for one of everything!

Then it was time to explore the hotel’s massive grounds.  We were also on a quest to find some more Rum Swizzle!

Our first stop, although very brief, was to the property’s marina, which is so gorgeous I felt like I was staring at a painting.  I cannot imagine a more picturesque place in the world to dock my boat.

When staying at the Rosewood Tucker’s Point, you will find that throughout the day there is a non-stop transportation service that takes guests from the hotel’s lobby to the Beach Club in five minutes time.  The Beach Club features Bermuda’s largest private beach and has two freshwater swimming pools.

Tucker’s Point Beach is easily one of the best on the island.  The pink sand is so vibrant and the water is so inviting — what more could you ask for?  Plus, my husband and I had it completely to ourselves!

We could have easily spent the rest of our day there, but because we were visiting during the low-season, there was no nearby food or drink service and we were going through Rum Swizzle withdrawal.  So, we did what we had to do, and returned to the hotel to spend some time by the infinity pool.

Thankfully, as soon as we sat down, a waiter brought us menus and sure enough they offered Rum Swizzle.  The next couple of hours were spent appreciating the incredible moment we were experiencing at one of our new favorite hotels.

On the way back to our room we walked by yet another enticing pool, which of course we had to go for a quick dip in.

It started to drizzle and we took that as a sign our pool time was over for the day.  While I was getting ready for dinner, I just so happened to look outside the bathroom window and saw the following glorious sight.

It was the perfect goodbye from Bermuda, a country I have no doubt that we will return to over and over again.

This is exactly what I needed today! It’s 40 degrees and foggy up here in Boston and I could not be craving the sunshine or sand more. It’s MAY – I should be in shorts and tanks rather than Northfaces and jeans! Looks like you had a wonderful vacation, it’s safe to say I’m insanely jealous 🙂

Too many delicious options so I think the only logical outcome is to ask for one of everything! Just recently found out (only after 21 years of knowing him) that my godfather is from Bermuda – now that I know what to expect, I will have use my connections to get there! Beautiful photos as always Andi.

Bermuda is so damn gorgeous. I’m thinking of going there through a cruise from New York just so I can save the expensive airfare! 😛

That property is a dream though: if I could afford it, I certainly would stay there.

Actually, airfare is not too bad to Bermuda compared to other islands!!! Especially from Miami, you live in Florida right? If you can get on a cruise, make sure you explore more than just Horseshoe Bay once it docks there. And yes, Bermuda is damn gorgeous!!! 🙂

Oh Andi, what an absolutely gorgeous photo series. Now I have to add Burmuda to my travel list. And Rum Swizzles to my drink list. (Yes, I have one of those. I feel like everyone who lives in Europe should…)
