Nevis: Day 4 (Part 1)

May 11, 2014

On our last full day in Nevis, we decided to do something special to commemorate our visit and newfound love for the island: we planted two coconut palms on the grounds of Nisbet Plantation Beach Club.  One of the palms was in honor of my husband’s family and the other was in honor of mine.  Throughout all of my travels, I have never come across such an extraordinary hotel amenity before.  Not only will a part of us always remain in Nevis now, but we were also able to give back to the environment — something that is very important to both of us.  Here are some photos of other guests whom have also planted coconut palms over the years.

We cannot wait to return to Nisbet Plantation Beach Club one day to see how are trees are doing! Of course, a special occasion called for a special celebration. . .

Planting a tree of any kind when traveling is always a really cool experience. I had the opportunity to do this while I was in a very small town in Brazil. As you said, it’s a great memory to have.
