Turks And Caicos: Day 5

July 21, 2014

On our last day in Paradise, we talked about ending the trip with another adventure.  I was leaning towards seeing the pink flamingos on North Caicos.  However, once we finished breakfast and caught a glimpse of Grace Bay Beach, we knew there was no way we were leaving the grounds of The Somerset.

After a long day at the beach, it was time to enjoy some refreshing rum punches at the Manager’s Reception.  Every week at the The Somerset on Grace Bay, guests may join General Manager Urmas Karner for a cocktail reception with live music, complimentary drinks, and tapas.  Urmas is such a wonderful person with stories that will you keep you entertained for hours!

Then we headed back to the beach for a BBQ that is known throughout all of the Turks and Caicos islands.  The Somerset’s Beach weekly BBQ has live music and a delicious buffet.  Personally, I am a huge fan of any place where I can dine with sand between my toes.

Watching the sun set against one of my favorite beaches in the world was the perfect way to end our trip, however what I did not realize at the time was that this particular trip would was going to be unforgettable in every sense of the word. . .
