The truth is: I am a travel photojournalist that does not travel. I have a lot of excuses as to why I stopped traveling for now, however the good news is that I will begin again soon. Just this past week, my husband and I celebrated our 5th anniversary in Highlands, North Carolina at the gorgeous Half-Mile Farm. That was my first trip in two years!

On the trip, I thought about the thousands upon thousands of photos I have taken over the last decade in over fifty different countries. It made me sad to think that most will never get shown. Then it occurred to me that I should start participating in #WanderlustWednesday. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you can start looking forward to a post every Wednesday with a photo from a destination that I have visited in the past. Hopefully, the picture will inspire you to book a trip somewhere. Even though I have put a pause on travel, I still think it is one of the greatest things about life!

The first photo I will be posting was from a trip to Florence, Italy. You can read more about the story behind the picture here.

Gorgeous photo of Florence, Andi! That’s such a great viewpoint. I think I’ll start aiming for Wanderlust Wednesdays as well. Instead of my random postings! xx
