Recently, my husband and I were graciously invited to experience one of our favorite restaurant’s, The Cheesecake Factory Bar Menu. Similar to a “Happy Hour”, the Bar Menu offers a variety of items that you can normally find for up to $12 on the main menu for only $5.95. What a deal, right?
While we were trying to decide which dishes to order, we reminisced about how when Lucas and I were dating and he came to visit me in the United States for the first time via Argentina, I took him to the Cheesecake Factory for his inaugural meal. We ordered our drinks and cheers’ed to the ten years that have passed since that dinner we shared. I cannot believe how much life has changed over the past decade for us! One thing that has not changed? Our drink orders. Whenever we dine at The Cheesecake Factory, I always drink the J.W.’s Pink Lemonade and my husband always drinks a Long Island Ice Tea.
We decided to sample the fried macaroni and cheese (Lucas’ favorite), the factory nachos, the avocado eggrolls (my favorite), and the hot spinach and cheese dip. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomaches and half of the food ending up coming home with us, which made for a delicious lunch the next day. To be able to get two meals for the price we paid literally blew our minds!
The Bar Menu is available Monday-Friday 4-6PM in the bar area only. We, of course, had to order two slices of the legendary cheesecake to go. Our favorite flavor lately is dulce de leche.
A lot of people hesitate to dine at The Cheesecake Factory, because there always seems to be such long lines. Those long lines are for a reason: the food is utterly superb! However, if you want to avoid the crowds and save some money, I highly recommend giving the Bar Menu a try. I promise you will be thanking me very soon.
