October 12, 2018

London is an exciting holiday destination to visit and explore with the family. There always is something novel to come across in the city, with only the very best of attractions and activities. It is these features that make it immensely popular with tourists and visitors from across the world.

Those visiting the city would do well to choose a hotel in central London, like Montcalm at the Brewery London City hotel in central London. Besides premium facilities and excellent customer service, the hotel is attractively priced. It is perfect for the family to enjoy a comfortable stay in town. If adventure is what the family seeks, some of the most impressive theme parks to visit with the kids in the city include:

Go Ape

Head to Trent Park if you do not have acrophobia! It is home to the famous Go Ape adventure theme park with an assortment of aerial adventures. These range from rope bridges to zip wires and loads of other activities. The treetop course alone takes around 2-3 hours to complete. This includes tunnels, high ropes, bridges, and the magnificent zip wire, the highlight of the course. The fun does not end there with an exciting skateboard zip wire that adds to the excitement. A terrific way to spend an entire afternoon with the family.

Thorpe Park

Both kids and adults get an equal measure of thrillto visit Thorpe Park. Home to some of the best roller coasters and rides it is amazing to visit. With roller coasters like Colossus with its twists and turns, Swarm the first of its kind roller coaster with wings and the incredible Stealth, which does an unbelievable 0-80 mph in 2 seconds, there can be nothing more thrilling to ride in the city. Apart from waterslides, a ride on a log flume, water rafting and fountains, there are Slammer and Detonator known for their sheer drops, which take the bravest riders on a white-knuckledride. There is plenty more of adventure in the form of a jungle maze, speed swings, dodgems, etc.

Legoland

Head to the popular Legoland Windsor that features more than 55 interactive rides, Duplo Valley (for the little ones), and some extraordinary Lego constructions including a complete model city of London, built using only Lego bricks. This is apart from unearthing Egyptian Pharaoh’s hidden treasure troves, having dragons give chase, drive a Lego car, meet Mia, and her companions in Heartlake City and sails the seas with the Vikings. If that sounds like fun, there is loads of it at Legoland.

Warner Brother Studio Tour

Most kids adore Harry Potter, so taking them on a behind the scenes peek on the Warner Brothers Studio Tour would be a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. See the actual sets, the amazing costumes and props all of which were part of the Harry Potter movie series. These tours have guides that have actually featured in the movies themselves. Join Hogwarts for a day to ride an enchanted broomstick, swill down non-alcoholic Butterbeer, clamber aboard Hagrid’s motorcycle, and tour Hogwart’s Great Hall.
