Best Places To Eat On Your Next Foodie Tour

June 16, 2019

Some people eat to survive, but people like me, and you (since you are reading this article) — we survive to eat! My passion for food started at a very tender age. My devotion to trying out the newest and most unusual things on the menu made me realize how much I wanted to explore the wonders and magic of the culinary world. That being said, setting out on a foodie tour to fulfil my cravings, exploring cuisines around the world was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

Of course, I am aware that I am not alone in this and that many of you are looking forward to the situations where you can just set out and make a reality out of your dream of heading out on a foodie tour. Even if it is not a “passion” it will still help you find a good place to eat if you are at these places.

During my visits to many countries, I experienced some premium quality food and vice versa. I don’t want to complain about the disgusting stuff I have consumed but here is a go to my favorite places around the world.

Best Food From Around The Globe

Since there was a lot to choose from, it was decided then that I section my foodie tour. Yes! I am enlisting the best food I have tried so far.

The Land of Opportunities

You guessed it well, I am talking about the mighty United States of America — the land of opportunities. For others, it can be the opportunity of starting a new life or a business or even family. But for me, it is the opportunity to try these classic American flavors with a twist or even as they are meant to be.

Miami, Florida

Brace yourself for a lot of the Caribbean and Latin-American flavors while you are visiting this vibrant city located near the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. The city had a lot to offer me from cheesecakes to fish burgers, from the delicate Ceviche to the chimichurri glazed Churrasco Steak.

The dish that got my attention was Arepas; a Latin American classic cooked to perfection!

This dish is an all-rounder that can be consumed on its own but can be mixed with cheese, meat, noodles, or however you want to devour this tasty meal. Since I was on my ever-wanted foodie tour, I wanted to experience this like how a true Miamian would. So, we ordered it with pulled pork alongside avocado and melted cheese.

New Orleans, Los Angeles

Apart from Hollywood New Orleans is also known for its amazing banana fosters. The one that Tommy made in Master Chef season 6 that exhilarated the taste buds of our ever-loved Gordon Ramsay (“The King of Kitchens and Chefs”). That was the type of banana fosters I was looking for!

The scrumptious staple at the legendary French Quarter’s restaurant is a popular hit since 1951. An appetizing sweet treat assembled from the simplest of ingredients: bananas, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and rum. Satisfy your taste buds on your upcoming foodie tour to New Orleans.

Fill yourself with tacos instead of bad emotions

My next stop during my foodie tour was Mexico. While Donald Trump decides to build walls around this city, food lovers will without a doubt break all the walls to have a taste of Mexico. Tacos and burritos are just a start of what Mexico has to give the locals and the visitors.

I have had enchiladas before, but my favorite ones are the ones that I tried from the land they belonged to. Freshly baked and enriched with true Mexican flavors, the enchiladas I had in Mexico transported me back to A.D 250 when the people residing in these South American lands were known as Mayans. Even though it is just a tortilla stuffed with meat, cheese, beans, salsa or all of the above, it is the flavors that make an enchilada special.

Italy, Europe

Italy is the birth giver of pasta and pizza. You must be waiting for my favorite pasta dish or looking for comments about the best pizza, but it is not the case. The dish that caught my eyes was this miniature ball of rice known as the Anarcinis. Even though this dish does not come in mind when you think of Italy, but it is a true essence of the rustic Italian flavors. It is normally stuffed with tomatoes, mozzarella, meat, mushrooms, rice, and even pistachios. This heavenly combo is then coated with bread crumbs and fried to perfection.

South Korea

Looking at the models and pop singers you must be wondering how glamorous this Southern part of cultural Korea is? With glamour comes money and with that being said, South Korea was the most expensive place when it comes to food. It was expensive being there and it spent quite a good sum of my money here. However, I do not regret trying those BBQ Korean belly/ribs. You always have the choice to choose the section you want. Grilled to perfection and served with sautéed vegetables and red sauce, you taste the best of Korea.

For Now!

These are just a few of the amazing classic I have devoured from around the globe. My foodie tours continue across the globe making my life worth living. The importance of food in life is constant and this passion has enabled me to create a lot of memories for myself to look at.
