For as long as I can remember, sleep has never come easily to me.

While some people seem to drift off within minutes of their head hitting the pillow, bedtime has often felt like the opposite for me. My mind would replay conversations, make endless to-do lists, and somehow decide that midnight was the perfect time to solve every problem in my life. If you have ever struggled with insomnia, you probably know exactly what I mean.

Over the years, I have tried countless sleep aids, meditation apps, calming music, and relaxation techniques. Some offered a little relief, while others made very little difference. I had almost accepted that restful sleep simply was not something I was going to experience consistently.

Then I discovered Mochi Zen.

The Mochi Zen app has become an essential part of my evening routine, helping me relax, quiet my mind, and fall asleep naturally through guided hypnotherapy.

What Is Mochi Zen?

Mochi Zen is a wellness app that combines Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) hypnotherapy with practical wellness tools designed to support better sleep, reduced anxiety, and healthy weight management.

If the word hypnotherapy makes you picture stage performances or losing control, think again. The experience feels much more like a deeply relaxing guided meditation that helps quiet your mind before sleep.

The app currently offers three programs:

  • 🌙 Sleep
  • 🌸 Anxiety
  • 🍑 Weight Loss

Since sleep has always been my biggest challenge, I naturally started there.

Preparing for a restful night’s sleep with the Mochi Zen “Natural Born Sleeper” RTT hypnotherapy session as part of my nightly bedtime routine.

My Honest Experience

I honestly was not expecting much.

Not because I doubted Mochi Zen specifically, but because I had already tried so many other sleep apps over the years. I hoped it would help, but I certainly was not expecting it to become part of my nightly routine so quickly.

Then something happened that had never happened before. The sleep sessions are approximately twenty minutes long.

I honestly do not know what happens after the first five minutes, because I am already asleep.

Yes…really.

The first time it happened, I assumed it was a coincidence. The second night? The same thing. Then it kept happening.

As someone who has struggled with insomnia for most of my life, I cannot even begin to describe how incredible that felt.

Instead of lying awake watching the clock, I found myself peacefully falling asleep before I ever reached the end of the session!

Why It Feels Different

One thing I appreciate about Mochi Zen is that it does not promise instant miracles.

The founder, Paola Mendez, actually encouraged me to spend time with the app before sharing my experience because RTT hypnotherapy works through repetition. That immediately made me trust both the program and the company even more.

Rather than simply masking the symptom of sleeplessness, the sessions are designed to help calm the subconscious mind and create healthier patterns around sleep.

For me, the experience feels calming, comforting, and incredibly peaceful. Instead of forcing myself to fall asleep, I simply listen…and before I know it, I am asleep.

A Cozy Bedtime Routine I Now Look Forward To

One unexpected benefit has been how much I now enjoy my bedtime routine.

Instead of dreading another restless night, I actually look forward to climbing into bed, wrapping myself in my favorite blanket, pressing play on the Mochi Zen sleep session, and letting myself unwind.

Creating that peaceful ritual has become almost as valuable as the sleep itself.

One of my favorite parts of the day is climbing into bed, pressing play on Mochi Zen, and letting the “Natural Born Sleeper” session gently guide me into a restful night’s sleep.

More Than Just Sleep

Although this post focuses on my experience with the insomnia program, one subscription includes access to Mochi Zen’s anxiety and weight loss programs as well.

After sharing my experience with the founder, she graciously extended my Premium membership so I could spend additional time exploring each program before writing about them.

Rather than rushing through everything, I wanted to genuinely experience each one so I could continue sharing honest, thoughtful reviews with all of you.

Stay tuned because I’ll be documenting both of those journeys in future posts.

Would I Recommend Mochi Zen?

Absolutely.

Everyone’s experience with sleep is different, and no app can guarantee identical results for every person.

However, I can honestly say that Mochi Zen has been one of the most effective sleep tools I have personally tried.

If you struggle with:

  • racing thoughts at bedtime,
  • chronic insomnia,
  • difficulty relaxing,
  • or simply creating a healthier nighttime routine,

I genuinely believe Mochi Zen is worth exploring.

For me, it has transformed bedtime from something I dreaded into something I actually look forward to. And after a lifetime of insomnia, that is something I never thought I would say.

After struggling with insomnia for years, I found myself peacefully falling asleep while listening to Mochi Zen’s “Natural Born Sleeper” hypnotherapy session.
