Truthfully, my husband Lucas and I did not go on our recent trip to Bermuda with any expectations. The only thing I was really excited about was seeing pink sand for the first time in my life. This is why I was so shocked to fall head over heels in love with the island. Its indescribable beauty, gregarious locals, and vibrant culture easily moved it into my top five favorite country list. I know I have found a special place when every ounce of my being is telling me to move there!
What brought us to Bermuda was that I was reviewing a couple of luxury properties on behalf of one of my favorite hotel booking websites: Kiwi Collection. The first place Lucas and I visited was Elbow Beach, Bermuda. Its namesake beach was just too gorgeous to leave and thus our first day was spent exploring it and the hotel’s landmark grounds. We began with a delicious breakfast and an equally delicious view.
Depending on which local you speak to, everyone has a strong opinion on which beach is the best in Bermuda. Elbow Beach was the first we experienced and we instantly found it difficult to imagine another one being more beautiful.
I almost had to pinch myself when I stepped foot on the pink sand, as its something I had been dreaming about for years. The further we walked, the less people we encountered and the more dramatic the scenery became. The juxtaposition of the limestone rocks against a swirl of cerulean and turquoise blue water was absolutely breathtaking!
Beautiful!!! Pink sand beaches are the best 🙂
Yessssss!
Incredible beaches, never really thought of Bermuda as a destination to go to before but I think I’ve been converted!

Oh I would love to be on that beach right now.
Me too! It was SO hard to leave!!!

Thank you so much!!! Yes, definitely add it! 🙂
So beautiful! Lucky you, I haven’t seen any pink sand beaches yet… looking forward to the day I will though 🙂
Oh, you will absolutely love it! It’s 10X more beautiful in person than in a picture. I hope you can get to a pink sand beach soon!!!
Oh Andi, how gloriously beautiful. I just want to sit on that beach and not move for hours. 🙂 I’m so glad you and Lucas got to stay here. 🙂
Haha me too!!! I can’t wait to return to Bermuda one day. Thanks for your kind words!
I am usually not a huge beach person, but anything beats the atrocious weather we have been getting here the last month. Thanks for brightening up my day.
You’re sooooo welcome my friend! Hope you get beautiful weather soon.
Hi Andi, I’ve been to Bermuda many many years ago and Elbow Beach always sticks in my memory. Your photographs are so stunning, so alive, I could feel the breeze and hear the sound of the waves. Makes me want to return there soon. Oh, and the food photos – YUM!
Wow what an incredible compliment, thank you X a million!!! We absolutely fell head over heels in love with Elbow Beach — how great that you were able to visit!
Wow, that is definitely one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen anywhere! Rivals the Great Barrier Reef, for sure.
Isn’t it??? I’m SO obsessed! Wait till you see the other beaches…
Those colors are amazing – the blues are seriously my vision of paradise. Now I want to go to Bermuda!
I want to go back with you my love!!!
Bermuda has always seemed too far away for us coming from Australia but your stunning pics make me reconsider it. What’s another flight when this heaven awaits you!
Oh gosh, that is a far trip for you! At least you’re close to the South Pacific!!!
I agree – breathtaking!
Pink sand…it’s like a dream!
We brought some home with us! 🙂

Thank you!
Oh, it is absolutely gorgeous! I think I would rather go in the winter than have it be so crowded. The beach looks absolutely gorgeous!
Yes, that’s what we were thinking as well. I actually really love to travel to places during the low season, especially Brasil and Argentina. I think it’s the best time to visit a place!
Will be staying there again, in two and a half weeks, after 34 years! (Stayed there, at Elbow, twice in the 70’s, and had lunch there last year.)
Elbow Beach is a bit different than it was all those years ago, but still as beautiful as it ever was!
34 years? Amaaaaazing! Have the best time!!! I miss it so much.
