Almost every day I am asked interesting questions from all over the world and I thought I would start sharing my responses to them, along with travel related giveaways. I love questions, thus please feel free to ask me anything in the comments or send me a private message if you prefer.
Q61. What sets My Beautiful Adventures apart from all of the other travel blogs?
A61. I created My Beautiful Adventures to resemble a travel journal. I detail each and every single day of a trip, rather than post random experiences from here and there. A lot of travel blogs do not post in sequential order and I find that it can be confusing for the reader. I take my readers step by step, so that it feels like they are on the journey with me!
Q62. What is something most people don’t know about you?
A62. I was Valedictorian of my high school class.
Q63. Question/request: do you travel with a tripod? I miss seeing your face!
A63. I do not travel with a tripod. Since I fell in love with photography and it became a profession, I must admit I have become terrible about taking selfies or having people take my picture. Although, I promise I am making a conscious effort to be better about it!
Q64. Did you go to school to learn all of those languages?? Or use a program? I know German, but I would love to pick up one or two more…just trying to figure out the best way to go about it!
A64. German I learned from my Mom and Grandparents growing up, as they are German. I also studied it in high school and college. Chinese I studied all throughout college and graduate school and traveled frequently to China. Spanish I simply learned so that I could flirt with my husband during our courtship. Before we were married I took local classes once a week and any time I had the chance to use it I would whether it was during traveling, skyping with him, or at a restaurant ordering food. Personally, a language program does not work for me, I would either need to take a class or immerse myself in a country that spoke the language.
Q65. What is your favorite animal you have encountered on one of your trips?
A65. No ifs, ands, or buts, it was an adorable sloth in the Amazon of Brasil!
For this giveaway, I am offering the chance to win a Borelli summer scarf from the Drift Infinity collection. I am such a huge fan of these gorgeous scarves — I have previously written about my love for them here.
The woman behind the scarves, Marissa Borelli, is a world traveler, blogger, fashionista, apparel designer, and mama-to-be (twin boys)! Her scarves have been worn by many stylish celebrities and famous athletes. I cannot recommend them enough as the perfect travel accessory.
This is such a great giveaway! I can’t wait to hear about your trip to Turks and Caicos.
I’ve realized recently that I have BARELY any recent photos of myself — and even fewer good ones! Like you, I’m always busy taking pictures of everyone else! I have to get better about that. 🙂
That last picture of you is so adorable!
Love your blog, Andi. And I would wear my Borelli scarf everywhere. Living in a beach community it’s easy to dress as if I’m on vacation all the time. I like the way these scarves would dress things up and make me feel.

Love your scarf giveaway! I’m always looking for lightweight scarves. Perfect for traveling in warmer climates!
I have recently gotten into the world of scarves, I would love to experience this new designer!
You need to take more selfies because you are so darn beautiful! XO
I’m the same… never any photos of me because I’m always the one taking them. When I do give the camera to my husband they’re always shaky, blurry or crooked!
I love sloths, too. Second favorite was holding a mama and her baby in Colombia. Diving with hammerhead and great white sharks is my ultimate favorite! 🙂 Living in San Diego, the days are warmer and the nights cooler, so I’d sport the scarf in our cool evenings! – Heather, Life of a Traveling Navy Wife
Looks beautiful! So beachy and nautical. Perfect for wearing out by the water this summer.
Wow, you’re a smart lady, that’s for sure! I really admire your language skills! I’m close to fluent in French but I could never get very far in the other languages I’ve studied. I’m hoping to teach in Taiwan soon so I’ll be trying my hand at Mandarin! <3
Awesome scarf giveaway. The Borelli scarves are beautiful and would be idea as I travel to London and Paris this summer. Andi, your striking photos take me on a mini vacation at home as I peruse them! I feel like I can travel any time! Thank you
Ooooh I so want one, these are gorgeous!
WOW I won!! 🙂 Thank you so much! – Heather, Life of a Traveling Navy Wife
