I, like millions of other travelers, can proudly say that I have visited the iconic Niagara Falls. It was a truly wonderful experience and one that most people will really enjoy. The Falls are one of those sights that it is worth going out of the way a bit to experience. However, as you can imagine, the area gets really busy, so if you want to spend a night or two in the area, it is important to plan your trip in advance.
Book A Nice Hotel
It feels good to treat yourself occasionally and stay in a high-end hotel. The Marriott on the Falls is well worth considering. It is known for its excellent facilities, including its Serenity Falls Spa and Fallsview rooms.
There really is something special about being able to get a panoramic view of these spectacular waterfalls from your own hotel room. This is especially the case when there is a light show or fireworks.
Consider Pre-Booking Some Of The Other Attractions
It is always worth looking through the list of attractions that are available and working out which ones you might like to enjoy. Doing this helps to cut down on wasted time spent discussing what you are going to do. Putting together a loose itinerary ensures that everyones tastes are taken into account. It also opens up the option for you to pre-book some of the busier attractions.
Pre-booking usually saves you both time and money. Most of the time, you can skip the queues completely and get money off of your ticket.
If you are not sure about what time you are likely to get to different places, buying an attraction pass is probably a better option. These do not usually enable you to walk straight into each attraction, but you should save money on entrance tickets. However, you need to be sure that you will visit enough of the attractions that are included on the pass to cover what you have to pay for it.
See The Falls In Different Ways
There are several exciting ways to see the Falls. You can go behind them, see them from above, and go almost right up to the base of the waterfalls themselves in a boat. All of them are fantastic experiences, so if you have the time, it is worthwhile doing all of them. There are some great photo experiences, but for some trips a waterproof case for your camera or phone is advisable. On the boat trips, you get very close to the Falls. It is a breathtaking experience, although you will be thankful for the waterproof poncho you are given because there is a lot of spray.
Remember Your Passport
If you have enough time available, it really is worth seeing the Falls from both the Canadian and the American sides. Each country offers you a different experience. Plus, of course, it always feels great to add another country to the list of those you have visited. Thus, remember your passport. This short article explains what you need to know about crossing the border, so you can visit both sides. The advice there will prove particularly useful for those who need a visa to visit Canada or America.
