Uranium, oil, and tourism were the main contributors that allowed for its economy to rise over the years since the 1900s, where tourism became the leading industry.
It can be an amazing experience that nature lovers dream about as nature is abundant and protected. There are so many scenic routes that you can take that will take your breath away and the things you are able to do broaden your horizons while exhilarating the fun. Southern Utah in Salt Lake State is another beautiful destination that you should consider journeying through on your way.

Canyoneering In Moab
An amazing experience to participate in is definitely canyoneering in Moab. This adrenaline rush really brings out your sense of adventure as experts and adventure enthusiasts will let you know. It may not be an easy tour to take part in depending on the level that you choose to take part in but it is definitely worthwhile. You experience different hiking destinations and gear up to climb the beautiful rocks as you rappel the canyons that you are guided on.
National Parks
There are a variety of national parks that you can spend days in. The views as you hike are stunning as you traverse through which exhibits itself in all its grandeur. The parks that you need to put on your list of things to see include Dead Horse Point, the famous Arches National Park, and Canyonlands National Park.
The trails can become pretty steep and you need to prepare yourself for long hikes in trails such as the Devils Garden or when you make your way to see the views at Grandview Point. There are also bountiful overlooks and hiking trails that you are able to make your way through.
La Sal Mountain Loop Road
The La Sal Mountain Loop Road is a scenic route that you can use your car to drive through allowing you to take in different types of scenery. You go from seeing the gorgeous canyons to the stunning forests. It is as the name indicates a drive through the mountains.
The drive is approximately 3 to 12 hours depending on how long you are willing to travel which helps you see a different and greener side of Moab. There are different access points to spots such as lakes or rivers for those lake bagging adventure swimmers out there who wish to dive into a new lake adventure. You can also choose to make your way down certain hikes that are available if you decide to make another stop.
