This is the last FAQ’s I will be posting before the wedding, which is May 14th, in case you are counting down the days like I am!
15. Will you be carrying a clutch?
I searched far and wide for the perfect clutch and could not find anything close to what I was envisioning. Thus, I turned to Etsy yet again and decided if I could not find what I wanted, why not just custom design something? I found a shop that was willing to carry out my vision and I love the final product. The clutch is pink on the outside and red on the inside (our wedding colors) and it has a special message sewn on to it to commemorate the day.
16. Are you having a Bachelorette Party?
Absolutely, but it is top secret for now. Just know that there will be lots of champagne and gossip involved!
17. Will you wear a garter?
One of the dearest people in my life is my ex-College Professor. I am the woman I am today, because of what she taught me both inside and outside of the classroom. I am sad that she will not be able to attend my wedding (she has classes to teach), however she offered to hand-make my garter for me, so that her presence would in some way be there. I told her to surprise me and surprise me she did! Not only did she create the perfect garter, but she made me two (one to keep and one to toss) AND she wrote me the most gorgeous card explaining why she created the garter the way she did.
18. How will you display your rings during the ceremony?
Up until a couple of weeks ago I was simply going to have our wedding officiant hold onto the rings for us, however I had this unexplainable feeling that I had to find something to properly display the rings. Again, I turned to Etsy and while I found a lot of beautiful ring dishes, none pulled at my heartstrings. That is until I stumbled across a shop that was willing to custom design one for me. I sent over a picture of our invite:

I am so glad that I listened to that feeling I had!
19. Do you have a wedding planner?
Yes, who just so happens to be one of my best friend’s! Julie came into my life six years ago and ever since that day she has remained a big part of my life. She too married an Argentine. Unlike me though, she left New York City, reinvented herself, and has been living in Buenos Aires ever since. I owe my sense of style to her. In my eyes she defines the word fashionista! Before we were close friends, she was actually my stylist. Along with being my wedding planner, she is also my Matron of Honor. Everyone deserves a Julie in their life.
From day one of my wedding planning, I knew that I could trust her completely with making any and all decisions on my behalf. I truly owe her a world of gratitude for not only putting together the wedding of my dreams, but for holding my hand from 4,995 miles away every.single.day over the last year. Julie is truly a life concierge!
I LOVE all these details. I wish I were coming!!! Ah, my bellissima, you are totally something special.

Haha, babe I packed 2 weeks ago!!! I’m the world’s most anal packer. I have 2 bags (1 for Argentina and 1 for Brasil) + 1 carry on and my wedding dress (which I’m carrying on). I love my clutch too, if you decide to have one you can always custom make one on Etsy too!

It’s interesting to read all of these details. I may overstep my bounds here and I will be blunt. I know many women find the details interesting and stressful. However, when that day comes all of this stuff won’t matter. Years later you won’t even remember this stuff or care. Just my two cents 🙂
You totally didn’t overstep your bounds and I’m glad to hear from a guy! I agree and disagree. I think for me the details were super important. I wanted to make my wedding unique and special and I would have absolutely regretted it until the day I died if I hadn’t. Having said that, I feel like A LOT of women lose sight over the fact that at the end of the day it should be a celebration of the marriage and not the wedding. Thanks for your 2 cents my friend!

I know I’ve said it before but I really do love your invites…and I’m glad its design could be used for your ring bowl. It exhausts me to think of how many small details you have put into this wedding but I also love how everyone will notice that your relationship is included even in the smallest details/that everything was deliberate.
