Picaboo Final Product Review (Part 2) + Giveaway

June 5, 2011
Thanks to Picaboo for sponsoring this post.  To learn more about Picaboo photo books, cards, calendars, and other printed products visit here.  I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

The day I left for my wedding in Argentina, a special box arrived in the morning.  Inside was my gorgeous Picaboo book that I had created only days before.  Unfortunately, I was not able to write about it until a month later, even though it deserved to be written about immediately.  I have never been more impressed with a photo service website before and I have used various ones over the years.  Not only was the book that I created exactly what I had envisioned, it was even better than I had envisioned!

Picaboo Review

Cover of the book.

I decided that the book would be the story of my engagement that took place in Buzios, Brasil 1 year ago.  I chose “The Madison” design, which was suggested for anything bridal or travel related; the perfect fit for the book I wanted to create!  The most difficult part about this whole process was deciding what pictures to include, however that was a fun challenge to have.

A page inside the book.

My 2 favorite parts about the book are the cover and the fact that you can combine photos and text.  The front cover of the book is a laminated photo and the spine and back cover are hand-wrapped with genuine soft leather.  The available leather colors are: black, brown, coffee, red, and pink.  I chose red, since it is the color of love.

An example of photo and text.

There are 20 pages in total and they are made out of thick, semi-glossed, archival quality paper.  It truly feels as though it is a coffee-table book bought at Barnes & Noble.

The book is definitely an investment, but it is worth every penny.  I am now convinced that this is best way to showcase your treasured photos and I will absolutely be creating more books in the future.  You can also have the opportunity to experience the wonderful world of Picaboo by entering the giveaway detailed below!  The winner will receive a Picaboo gift of a $50 value.

First of all–this book looks amazing. I’ve seen other similar ones, but this one just seems like better quality. Great story line you have there too 😀

Hmm.. if I were to choose a story line, I don’t think I could choose between a travel theme, or just a collective of my favourite images… oh the confusion, haha.

Aaaand, I already follow you on FB and Twitter, does that count? 😀

Aww, your story book is gorgeous! What a cute idea.

If I won the Picaboo voucher I’d put it towards making a book for my Dads birthday detailing how much I love him and using photos from when I was born until now and to include a story throughout it.

Usually my Dad gets socks and chocolate coated almonds from my family because we never know what to get him, and since his last request of ‘something personal’ I think this would be the perfect for him. (That and I haven’t got any other ideas yet…!!!)

Beautiful photobook. I would use my book to tell the story of our recent family vacation to London and Paris. I follow you on twitter. My handle is @waterwinetravel. Cheers!

Woo your album looks so good !

If I won the Picaboo voucher, I would create a book about my long distance relationship (France-Australia) and I’d give it to my boyfriend, before I board the plane to go back home. Photos are just the most beautiful memories, what you have caught on film is captured forever. Just like our love will last forever, photos will never fade in such a beautiful album.

By the way, I’m a religious reader of your blog and I also follow you on Twitter (oOfunkmeOo) and on Facebook (Stéphanie R)

If I won the voucher I would tell the story of my little girls birth from the day we found out about her thru the day she was born until her 4th birthday. She truly has been my ultimate gift. I can’t for you to receive the same kind of gift. Children are truly the most wonderful gift one could ever receive.

If I won the voucher, I would use it for my photos of Hawaii. I took a vacation to Hawaii in 2010 to help get over a bad experience. Not something I’m willing to say to the Blogosphere. 🙂 I spent a lot of time listening to the sound of the ocean and waterfalls to renew my spirit. Surfing, hiking and shopping renewed by sense of fun. I have cousins there who have stood by me through think and thin. I have plans to go back in the fall of 2011. I would use the voucher to tell a story of renewing your spirit in paradise.

Andi – the book is gorgeous! It must be even more impressive in person with the colors of the sunset and you two together! I’m glad it turned out even better than you expected 🙂

If I had a Picaboo book of my own, it would tell the story of my sabbatical to Paris. From a lonely girl stuck in the suburbs, to a young woman who took the initiative to reach Paris to learn from travel writers she deeply admires. This trip is an absolute dream come true. After Paris, I have to come back to the suburbs, but this book would keep my hopes alive that my dreams are possible 🙂

    Your book looks amazing!

The story I would tell is of our wedding – we’ve got a ton of pictures coming of the two (yes, two) actual wedding ceremonies, plus all those wonderful portraits that I no longer have albums of, since we gave them to our parents.
