Part 4: The Stay

We knew exactly where to go to find our apartment, since we had been to Faena Hotel + Universe many times before, however the instructions that we received prior to our stay were incredibly detailed and we would have had no problem finding it if we had not known its exact location.  The apartment, which can be accessed through its own private entrance, is managed by the company Apartments BA and is located in the Puerto Madero barrio.  Upon arrival, the doorman greeted us and sent us up to the apartment where we were met by a friendly host and a dozen red roses.  She took us through the apartment and told us everything that we needed to know in detail.  I am sure if this had been our first time in Buenos Aires or that my husband was not a Porteño, she would have been able to give us excellent recommendations  in English on things to do and see.  We insantly loved the apartment, which was actually a studio, however it still felt very spacious due to its strategic layout.  There was free wifi, a TV with hundreds of channels, and a cell phone to use if we desired.  Our favorite part of the apartment was being amongst the Philippe Starck furniture — we are huge fans of the talented designer!  Included in our stay was access to Faena’s luxurious pool and gym.  For an extra fee, we could have hired a housecleaner.

Part 6: The Conclusion

The best part about renting an apartment is that you instantly feel as though you are a local — a feeling that I think is priceless!  The extra space is a huge plus and although I typically eat all of my meals out while traveling, having the option to cook or have food delivered is always welcomed as well.

It was sooo gorgeous!!! I loved all of the details. I wish that I had felt better while I was there, but I’m sure we’ll stay there again in the future! 🙂

This place is so unbelievably stylish! And it looks really big for a studio. How fantastic that you got to stay at Faena again…I like these apartments even more than the hotel room photos I’ve seen…

Um, WOW! I actually love studios, such efficient use of space and don’t let you collect too much junk. If I settle back in NYC ever, it’s the only thing I could afford so good thing I like them 🙂

Wow, what a fabulous place! I absolutely love it! Wish I would’ve known about this studio when we were looking into apartments to rent in Buenos Aires – I have bookmarked it should we return to BA in December 🙂
