Ordering an omelet con queso y papas fritas almost every day.
People dancing the tango in the middle of the street.
Walking across the romantic el Puente De La Mujar at night.
Seeing signs of Evita’s memory everywhere.
Savoring every single bite of the Placer Real roll at the Sushi Club.
Being mesmerized by the incredible wall art found all over.
Drinking one delicious café con leche after another.
Late night dinners with my Argentinean husband filled with Spanglish and Fernet.
Indulging in dulce de leche frappuccinos® at Starbucks.
Marveling at the European influenced architecture.
Knowing that I can order cuatro queso gnocchi anywhere in the city and that it will taste heavenly.
Never having to really say goodbye, because I will always be returning again soon.
Andi!! These pictures are absolutely DIVINE. Even though I am happy to be in Delhi right now, thank you for taking me to Buenos Aires for just a few wonderful moments! You’ve got me itching to visit there soon 🙂
Awww thank you so much sweetheart, what a sweet comment!!! I miss Delhi, what an awesome city! I hope you can make it to BA soon though. You will LOVE it.
Take me here… From the dulce de leche frap to the wall art, and the tango to Evita, I’m mesmerized. Beautiful photos and story, as always, darling.
Thank you my love, you’re the best! XO
Oh I love SO many things about this post. My little sister really wants to go to Europe this year (for her first real time traveling outside of the U.S.), but since I’m still hoping we’ll get stationed overseas next year, how do I convince her to go to Argentina with me instead?? (I suppose I could just send her this post!) 🙂
Skip Europe!!!!! Go to Argentina! Trust me on this! Maybe we’ll go at the same time and then I can be your personal tour guide haha. Just send me her email, I will convince her. 😉
Seriously! I talked with her and she’s open to it, but then I got a little discouraged when I looked at ticket prices. :\ Even more than some places in Europe! Then, just 5 minutes ago, a package was delivered to my house. It was a bottle of wine a friend sent to thank me for helping her find a great gift for her boyfriend’s birthday, and guess where it’s from??? Argentina. Must be a sign. And how cool would that be to have YOU as a tour guide??
THAT IS A SIGN!!!!!! I so believe in the power of synchronicity. OMG that’s totally a sign. I will help you find a decent flight I promise. Vamos chica!!!
Street art in South America is the best. If you haven’t been Santa Teresa in Rio it is worth checking out, the street art is amazing! Also looking forward to checking out Bogota’s street art, I hear it’s great. The picture of BAs really make me want to go back so bad, I’m pretty sure I’ll be back some time soon.
I hope you can make it back soon! I have been to Santa Teresa and it’s incredible!!! I’m a HUGE fan of street art. I was in Bogota, but didn’t see too much. Guess I need to return?
Andi, seriously your photos are AMAZING!!!!
Thank you Sarah!!!
Beautiful touching post!
Dulce de leche frapuccino???? I have to try that!! 😉
You must must must, it’s insanely delish!
OMG, I need to go there now! The food alone looks to die for!
There are no words…
OMG you make me want to go there again! Lovely!
Wahoooooo!!!
I cannot believe I have not been to BA yet…hopping on a plane right now!!
Yeeeeeeees! You will LOVE it!!!
I love this post, Andi. 🙂 One of my favorites, I think. So many good, precious, and personal things that make your heart happy. 🙂 xo
Awww I’m so delighted to hear that!!! I really should write a book about BA, because writing about it makes me so happy.
My friend told me how awesome BA is, now with this post I’m completely convinced to visit.
Yes yes yes!
I love that Spaniards don’t often say goodbye, but “hasta luego.” Buenos Aires will never be a goodbye for you!
Agree completely!!! Besos!
Great shots!
Thanks Chad!
Oh my, You had me at ‘omelet con queso y papas fritas’. It sounds so exotic, yet it’s so simple. And the simple ones are usually the best! The wall art is phenomenal. Fabulous photos of Buenos Aires. I’ve added it to my dream destinations list 🙂
Wow yay!!!!! I’m so glad I was able to get you to add it. It’s a must visit. And the food is to-die-for!
Andi, you’ve made me so nostalgic for Buenos Aires! I read this with a big smile. I can almost taste the dulce de leche and Malbec now…
Awww what a lovely comment! Isn’t it such an awesome city? Ugh, I miss it!
Take me there now!!!!! I want to dance tango in the streets. 🙂
Hahaha me too!
Lovely shots Andi!
Thanks Randy!
Sweet blog! 🙂
Thank you!
Love this post! It reads like a love letter to a city that has a special place in your heart. Stunning photos as always.
Awww what a beautiful way of looking at it, thank you!
wow, those murals are AMAZING!
And OMG, running into people dancing tango in the street? *sigh*
Isn’t the street art gorgeous!?! If it hadn’t had been over 100 degrees every day we were there I would have walked every inch of the city to find more. How romantic is it that people dance tango in the streets???
wish i was there!
Haha me too! 🙂
I DIE for that tango photo!!!!!!!!!!!
Awwww I die for you!
You and Lucas can have my share of the fernet if I can get a couple bites of gnocchi…deal?
DEAL!!!!
Definitely on my travel list – my best friend is from Cordoba and talks all about how amazing Argentina is! Gorgeous gorgeous post!
She’s SO right!!! You simply must go soon! Glad you enjoyed the post dear. 🙂
Great photos – I lived in Argentina back in 2005 and hope to go back soon!! I miss the gelato and dulce de leche flavored everything!!
How awesome that you lived there! I hope that my husband and I can buy an apartment there someday. 🙂
I LOVE these pics!
Awww I’m so happy that you do!
I love the art walls! They have such detail and brilliant color. It looks like you had an amazing time. I think I would just fly there to have some of that delicious coffee and then have a photo shoot by the walls! Thanks for sharing!
Love that you would do that! Yes, definitely a good time!!! I can’t wait to return.
Alfajores Would be number 1 on my list!!!! I love the last reason 🙂
Hahahaha yes I forgot those! 😉
Posts by My Beautiful Adventures with amazing photos highlighting how awesome it is to travel to Buenos Aires is one of my favorite things.
Hahaha I adore you!
Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires . . . okay, I am convinced! I think the universe is wanting me to go there. Seems every blog a read lately is from Buenos Aires. It does look amazing and your images are beautiful!
That is SO a sign! YOU MUST GO!!!!
LOVE the street art! Love the perspective on the one with your camera on the ground. Creative, inspiring 🙂
It really is the best, I love it too! I think it makes cities prettier!!! Thank you sooo much!
Mmmm – those rolls at the Sushi Club…yummmmmm
Sooooo good right!?! I literally dream of them!
Love the street art!
Me too!
I love Buenos Aires and I’ve never even been. Thanks for taking me along with you again. I love going on little adventures here at your place. 🙂
Awwww you’re SO welcome my love! XO
Such a beautiful blog! I’m going to Buenos Aires in 3 weeks for the first time to meet my boyfriend who’s doing some travelling…have been really nervous as I wasn’t sure what to expect! You’re blog has made me so excited, the city looks so interesting and your photos really portray the culture and lifestyle 🙂 x
Thank you so much!!! How exciting that you’ll be meeting your boyfriend in BA. How romantic! No reason to be nervous, you will fall head over heels in love. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I trust you when it comes to picking out things to like about BA 🙂
Beautiful pics as always!
Thank you for your trust!!! And thanks for the kind words on my pics.
That last shot of the city is absolutely mesmerizing!
Thank you sooo much! I’m glad that I had my camera near me when we took off!!!
Scott and I were just talking about going somewhere for a week or so this fall, and BsAs was definitely my #1 suggestion. Now if we can just get the timing to work, as we also have to squeeze in a visit to see his family–we haven’t been back to SF in two years!
OMG I want to go with you and show you around!!!
Great Pics! I live in Costa Rica and have a bunch of friends that are Argentinian. We talk about travelling there together all of the time. But after seeing these amazing pictures makes me want to go now!
Cheers~Erin
You MUST travel with them!!! 🙂
The wall art looks so cool! I would love to see more pictures of this! And the 4 queso gnocchi.. Wow. Now I’m craving gnocci for breakfast!
I wish I had taken more street art shots, but it was SO hot while we were there, that we didn’t spend a lot of time walking around like we usually do. I promise to get more next time!
Love the street art photos–so awesome! I always love wandering around and looking at wall art. And, the food looks amazing!
Me too, one of my favorite pastimes. And BA food IS amazing!!!
I love your photos of the street art! so col!
Thank you sooo much!
Wow. Love your photos! This made me really miss Buenos Aires too. The dulce de leche flavoured ice-cream at Freddo and alfajores at Havana
Thank you so much dear! Yes, that should have definitely been put on the list haha!
Love, Love, Love! Heading to South America for the first time in December-you’ve piqued my curiosity.
You’re going to looooooove it!
just saw this post. All amazing things about a fantastic city. So jealous you get to return so often!
I feel pretty lucky, I must admit!
Simply magnificent photos! My fave is the shot of the street art in the background with cobblestones in the foreground. I am missing Buenos Aires so much. Visited on a tour a few weeks ago and did not get enough time there. Overcoming the dulce de leche dependency I acquired in Argentina is proving to be a challenge and I am missing alfajores terribly. Do you happen to know where I could find a good recipe to try making them at home?
Thank you so much, your kind words mean a lot! Overcoming a DDL dependency is almost impossible, this is why we always bring back tons and tons of it in our suitcases whenever we return. I wish I had a recipe, if I find one I promise I will pass it along.
I would definitely add the epic nightlife to this list! Buenos Aires has the best boliches! And that gnocchi looks tasty, where was that?!
Haha yes the epic nightlife is fabulous, but now that I’m in my 30’s when I visit my 2nd home I don’t really party that much. I will have to find out from my friends in BA what the name of that restaurant was.
