On our last full day in Nevis, we decided to do something special to commemorate our visit and newfound love for the island: we planted two coconut palms on the grounds of Nisbet Plantation Beach Club. One of the palms was in honor of my husband’s family and the other was in honor of mine. Throughout all of my travels, I have never come across such an extraordinary hotel amenity before. Not only will a part of us always remain in Nevis now, but we were also able to give back to the environment — something that is very important to both of us. Here are some photos of other guests whom have also planted coconut palms over the years.
We cannot wait to return to Nisbet Plantation Beach Club one day to see how are trees are doing! Of course, a special occasion called for a special celebration. . .
You take the best pics!
Thank you!!!
What a fun idea!
So unique right?
Seriously a very cool idea. And that pic of you peeking out from behind the palm leaves is adorable!
Awww thank you dear!!!
That is a seriously cool thing to do!
Isn’t it? I hope more properties offer this soon!
What a great idea. Now, you’ll always be part of the island 🙂
Yes!!! Exactly! 🙂
What a fabulous idea.
I totally agree! 🙂
What a great idea…I love this!
Me too!!!
So cool! I just cannot get over how beautiful Nevis looks. Thanks for sharing!
Happy travels 🙂
It’s sooo beautiful! You must visit!!!
I love this, Andi. 🙂 What a wonderful memory to have. 🙂 How lovely it will be to return one day and see your trees. 🙂
Yes, we can’t wait!!! We hope one day they are the tallest trees on the property haha!
Planting a tree of any kind when traveling is always a really cool experience. I had the opportunity to do this while I was in a very small town in Brazil. As you said, it’s a great memory to have.
That’s cool! Tell me more about your Brasilian experience. Brasil is my favorite country!!!
