One piece of advice that I have heard over and over again regarding being a Mother is to enjoy every moment you can — even the crying spells and sleepless nights — because time flies by quickly with babies. As I write this post, I can hardly believe that my precious Joaquín is already eight weeks old! It feels like just yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital and now two months later he is almost thirteen pounds. As a traveler, I am accustomed to being on the go constantly, however my new life as a Mom requires me to stay put instead and to always be in the present, because my friends and family were right, it does go by fast, way too fast, and I do not want to miss a single minute of it!
