I love how small the world is! A couple of weeks ago, a blog follower named Lauren Taylor, reached out to me to say that she was moving to Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the same time she was moving there, my brother was visiting, thus I introduced them to each other and they quickly became friends. Meanwhile they were off having beautiful adventures in my favorite city, I was perusing Lauren’s website. Her artwork blew me away and there were a few pieces that I had simply had to have. She gathers inspiration for her watercolors through her travels around the world.
Pink luggage? Every woman’s fantasy right! This is her original work.
And this is what the print looks like in my house.
However, the piece that completely blew me away, was her portrayal of La Casa Rosada, otherwise known as the Pink House. Before my husband, Lucas, and I were married, he used to guard the President of Argentina there. I have been mesmerized by the stories he has told me over the last decade of his time spent there (we tell our son these stories every night as we put him to bed).
Now her stunning print hangs next to our bed and is the perfect reminder of Lucas’ past.
Lauren is so unbelievably talented and I have no doubt that you will fall in love with her artwork as well! Her website is Lauren Taylor Creates and you can find her on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.
