I often ask people their stories of traveling and the adventures they have experienced throughout their lives. What is the reason for all this? Well, first of all, it makes me happy and then comes the elderly thought of learning through other’s experiences and gaining knowledge about stuff. Now I can use these stories and adventures for two reasons; one to become Sindbad myself and tell other’s fortunes and adventures as my own to the world and the second one is to get ready for the pros and cons one faces or if I have already experienced this travelling phenomenon then to compare my experiences to others.
Well, you know life is all about competition and experiences these days. No one judges you for who you are and what you do, you are always compared to a lovely person who becomes lovelier every time you manage to take his or her place. So, life goes on in the greed for accomplishments and money-making races. I think that we should take some time out to hear out someone’s story and make them hear yours as well.
“I left home at a very young age,” said his emotional voice. “I just finished school and my parents decided that it was best that I leave home and my soft corners to achieve something in life. I was furious and more than that I was scared just by thinking of leaving my bedroom for study and exposure”, his story and mine were beginning to be sound the same, but I never interrupted and kept on listening. “But you know what?” his voice suddenly changed into a mode of unknown excitement and I began to think that the poor fellow had gone mad, “I learnt a lot, I cried the first year, the second year was just as the first one, and then time changed I got to know people and I do not know how I spent seven whole years of my life after school without my parents and all my soft corners.” One thing was clear to me by the time I was hearing him out: we create our soft corners ourselves. We love our childhood bedroom, because we are not mentally prepared or ready to move out of it any time soon. This behavior of ours makes us lack confidence and maturity.
Well, my friend came home after seven years, but to get ready for his future life, which he was planning on to spend in Australia, he was telling me about new things that he had been searching for regarding immigration and insurances at that time. One thing he always cheered and discussed was his travel insurance to Australia that he was offered free of cost in his package from the travel agency company. But incredibly he has enjoyed his life after two or say three years of a hard time, he learned to live and face hard times, he is more confident now, and ready to explore more in life!
