Dehradun

Dehradun is one of India’s oldest hill stations. It is around 235 km far from Delhi. The hill station of Dehradun has a number of tourist attractions like Sahastradhara, the Sulphur rich waterfall, Malsi Deer Park, or the Dehradun Zoo, a popular picnic destination among families, Robber’s Cave, or Guchhupani, which is a river cave formation that offers a thrilling and a peaceful experience at the same time, Lachhiwala the picturesque picnic spot to spend a lazy evening, Tapkeshawar Temple the famous cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva for a spiritual rendezvous, Tibetan Mindroling Monastery which is one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in the country and much more. Dalhousie

So, if you want to experience snow, head there in winters. A roadtrip from Delhi to McLeodganj takes around 11 hours to cover the distance of 500 km. McLeodganj is famous among trekkers, as it has a number of popular trekking trails. If adventure is not on your agenda, then you can just soak in the spiritual feel of the place and spend your time in one of the monasteries.
