My Secret Adventure (Part 4)

June 29, 2011

There is no secret that I have a crush, but the crush is on a hotel and not a person!  In May, I had the honor of staying at Hotel Moreno (you can read about my stay here and here) and when my flight last week was changed unexpectedly and I found myself with an extra night in Buenos Aires, there was no other choice in my mind but to stay at Hotel Moreno yet again.  It amazes me that this strikingly modern hotel with such surprisingly affordable rates is not the hottest place to stay in the city right now.

The attention to details is dazzling, but my favorite thing about Hotel Moreno, which sets it apart from every other boutique hotel, are the antique elevators.  As you step inside, you feel as though you are being transported back in time to bygone era.

As I ascended the floors, passing by beautiful stained glass windows each telling a different story, I become more and more eager to see what my room would look like this time around. . .

If you should choose to stay at Hotel Moreno in the future, email General Manager Jeremías Meinardi (jeremias@morenobuenosaires.com) and mention my name and/or my blog and a special discounted rate will be given.

How beautiful! I love hotels that look like “homes” – we stayed at a boutique hotel/mansion in Cartagena and it was one of my fav experiences!

That hotel looks very hip. Hope you’re having a great time in Argentina! What an amazing thing to be able to surprise hubby like that. Fantastic!

It is SO hip, that’s the perfect word for it! And yes, I feel ridiculously lucky to have been able to surprise him. One of the best moments of my life!!!

I can see why you’ve fallen in love with the hotel. The attention to detail is quite impressive with plenty of character. It sure beats the dodgy hostel I stayed at when I was there.
