Almost every day I am asked interesting questions from all over the world and I thought I would start sharing my responses to them, along with travel related giveaways. I love questions, thus please feel free to ask me anything in the comments or send me a private message if you prefer.
Q21. I am excited to discover this site! My question is have you ever felt unsafe traveling as a female?
A21. I have never felt unsafe, even in places that are deemed “dangerous” by others, but 1) I rarely experience the emotion of fear, 2) I always listen to my intuition, and 3) I try to make wise choices about where I go alone as a female. There was only one time in my life where I did not listen to my intuition and it resulted in a horrible experience in India. You can read about it here. Thankfully, I was not hurt, however it was a huge wake up call for me. Your intuition is a powerful tool and should never be ignored.
Q22. Have you lived abroad?
A22. Unfortunately, no I have not. In order to get through College in three years (I was eager to begin Graduate School), I basically had to forfeit any opportunity to study abroad. It is something that I really regret and still very much hope to do one day with my husband. I put it on my Bucket List and made my younger brother study a year in Hong Kong just so that I could live vicariously through him!
Q23. Which is your favorite wedding photo?
A23. I cannot choose one, although I can narrow it down to three. All photos were taken by Kyle Hepp in Buenos Aires, Argentina:
Q24. Does your hubby like to travel as much as you do?
A24. He enjoys traveling immensely, however he is not having an undying love affair with it like myself where I eat, breath, and sleep it. He feels the same way about fútbol that I do about travel. I think it is a good thing that we are not both obsessed with traveling, because otherwise we would probably be bankrupt and living on the streets from exhausting all of our savings from constantly exploring the world!
Q25. How do you travel so stylishly?
A25. Simple, I only pack dresses, as previously mentioned in my last Ask Andi Anything post. Dresses always make a woman look fashionable and polished and take up little room in a suitcase and are easy to accessorize day into night. I do not spend a lot of money on my dresses, but I do invest in my accessories, especially my jewelry.
For this giveaway, I am offering the chance to win two travel products! The first is a SwaggerTag luggage ID tag in green. The purple shown below is mine and is an example of what yours will look like. It can be used on luggage or other things such as: sport bags, backpacks, totes, bikes, electronics, golf bags, cases, and pet collars. It is completely customizable with your own photo, image, or logo. It is weather and impact resistant and has environmentally aware packaging.
The second is a 21oz pink stainless steel Hydro Flask. The Tactical Line Hydro Flasks keep contents cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12 hours. Each flask is BPA-free, resistant to bacteria and odors, and comes with a lifetime warranty.
Such a good idea to travel with dresses! Now I just have to find some that I like 🙂
Great idea about the dresses I need to try that myself, being the chronic overpacker that I am! I also have a questions… What are you must have beauty items? I can never seem to narrow down my collection, but have slowly been getting better. x
Andi, what?? Did you report that guy at the hotel in India??! What an awful experience!
So I just found you from you following me on twitter via another giveaway and I am so happy you followed my twitter. I love you blog and all the places you have visited! I am so jealous. So could you adopt me? Just for like one trip, maybe? Just kidding. I wish I had a job where I could travel like you have it would be amazing.
It’s wonderful to hear that you and your husband seem to be the perfect balance of loving travel! I can only hope to find that myself. I just found your blog, and this was a wonderfully personable first post to read. I’ll definitely be hopping around your site a bit more. 🙂
You + Kyle = always awesome 🙂
I just read the India post for the first time, and I am SO sorry you experienced that. *hug*
Your wedding photos are gorgeous! Also, right there with you on the “wear dresses while traveling” rule and just in life in general. My husband always thinks I like dressing up, but really dresses are more comfortable than any pants I own. Glad to have found your blog!!

Love the tip on packing and wearing dresses. I tried this once. I packed nothing but dresses. It’s fun and you have no choice but to stay stylish. I would also love to bring 3 or more scarves or saris, especially when going to the beach. They’re kinda cute wearing that over a bikini, and easy to take off when swimming. Plus they can be a picnic blanket and can keep you warm against shore breeze.
Andi I just have to say, I LOVE your wedding photos! I had to dig out mine after reading this post, I love going through them and reliving the day again, after 6 years! 🙂 And yes, I’d love to travel one day with just dresses but we always end up doing outdoorsy stuff, maybe on the next girly get-a-way I’ll do the same… 🙂
What kinds of dresses do you recommend for travel? Any specific fabrics?
Your blog is a gold mine of good info!! Love it. Great idea for packing dresses. That’s always the biggest dilemma for me because I want to look cute for the pictures! 🙂
I remember you did a boudoir session in Chile once, what was your favorite three pics from there?
Love your giveaway. I sure wish you had reported that guy in India. That’s awful Andi.
what a wonderful q&A thanks for the insights!
Your wedding photos are so beautiful! I am so the opposite of you travelling- SOO paranoid that something bad will happen. I love it, but I play it so safe at the same time.
