Almost every day I am asked interesting questions from all over the world and I thought I would start sharing my responses to them, along with travel related giveaways. I love questions, thus please feel free to ask me anything in the comments or send me a private message if you prefer.
Q46. What country have you visited the most outside of the United States?
A46. Argentina. As you read this, I am packing for my 16th time there! It is my second home now. On a side note, I am a huge fan of returning to countries over and over again. Some people prefer to only travel to new places, not me, if I fall in love I keep going back for more.
Q47. Where and when has been your best champagne drink?
A47. I would say the best was at a beachside restaurant in Buzios, Brazil in 2010. It was the perfect night: there was a full moon out and the sound of the ocean waves and a nearby samba band were wafting through the sultry air, not to mention the food was superb. However, what makes it the best, is that my boyfriend at the time (now husband) proposed to me that evening.
Q48. How do you get ready for a trip?
A48. I am a planner. Before I have even left for my trip — be it a weekend getaway or a month long journey — I have extensively researched the destination online via travel websites and blogs. I also try to get in contact with locals via my social media channels for insider information. I then create my own detailed day-by-day itinerary, which I used to have bound like a guidebook when I was younger and now I just bring it with me on my laptop. Having said that, I am completely open to change, so if an incredible opportunity presents itself, I am happy to throw all of my previous plans out the window and go with the flow!
Q49. What made you decide to practice Chinese medicine? Where did you learn this and has your traveling at all helped you to develop your skills?
A49. When I was 14 years old, I battled some serious health problems. After unsuccessfully trying everything that Western Medicine had to offer, my Mom convinced me to try Chinese Medicine. I was quite reluctant, since very little was known about it in the States at the time, however I gave it a try and after the first treatment I knew that this powerful medicine was not only going to help me, but that it was also my life’s calling. I wanted to give back to the world what it had given me. In College, I studied Asian Studies and learned to speak Chinese. After I graduated, I went straight into Graduate School in New York City to become a Chinese Medicine Doctor. It is a four year, year-round program. I also briefly studied in China and South Africa as well. Traveling has absolutely made me a better Acupuncturist. Through my travels I have learned about different cultures and how to relate to all kinds of people. I bring that knowledge and those skills into my treatment room every day.
Q50. What has been your most memorable travel experience so far?
A50. This is an impossible question for me to answer, as every trip I have taken has been the most memorable in its own unique way!
For this giveaway, I am offering the chance to win a stylish pair of Bluff Works pants for men! These pants are the most perfect travel pants you will ever find. From climbing a mountain to attending a work meeting; these are a must-have item in your wardrobe. They are made from a technical fabric to be wrinkle-free like travel pants, yet look great for the office. They stand up to being rolled, folded, stuffed in a bag, and worn time and time again without ironing or washing in between. My husband owns a pair and lives in them. He claims they are the most comfortable pants he owns (personally, I love the way he looks in them). He has the gray pair and it goes with everything in his closet. On our upcoming trip to Argentina, he definitely intends to wear them, so that he will look great when he gets off the plane and sees his family for the first time in a year!
That last picture made me smile 🙂

I’m SO jealous of all of your travels and your language skills – I’m dying to be fluent in French, but I never got the hang of it after college :/
