There was no way I was going to be able to do Joaquín’s newborn shoot without including something to do with travel in it, as I have no doubt that my little prince will one day be a jetsetter like his Mom. My husband, Lucas, and I found the vintage luggage that we put him in when I was five months pregnant on a trip to Peaks of Otter, Virgina inside of a little antique shop. When I spotted the luggage I instantly knew I had to have it for Joaquín’s nursery. I cannot wait to see my boy’s face one day when I show him that he once was so tiny that he fit inside of it!
The following photo is my favorite from the entire newborn photo shoot. When Joaquín smiles my entire heart melts — he definitely has his Mom wrapped around his little finger (and trust me, he knows it too)!

I think it’s wise to have things for size comparison for posterity’s sake. This may be super obvious to a lot of people but I am SO far from parenthood haha.
Love these pics, he’s so darling. *gush gush gush*
Thank you so much!!! Sometimes I can’t believe how darling he is! I swear I swoon a hundred times a day.
Andi, I love them all, but I especially love the first shot of his feet (tiny! adorable!) and the three shots taken from above while he’s in the suitcase.
I’d forgotten that this was the case you picked up the Peaks of Otter trip!
Aren’t his feet sooo cute??? And lately he loves having them kissed! If we stop kissing them then he starts crying haha!
That little smile is absolutely precious!!!! No wonder your heart melts, luv. 🙂
Eeeek I adore his smile! He’s starting to smile all of the time now yay!!!
He is so adorable… Great pictures indeed..
Thank you so very much!
