Joaquín’s Newborn Photo Shoot (Part 1)

February 19, 2015

It is no secret that I am completely and utterly obsessed with my son. I had always heard that there are no words to describe the love you will feel for your children, but still I had no idea just how deep and profound that love truly is until the moment I laid eyes on Joaquín for the first time. I honestly felt like my heart was going to explode from love and that my life truly began the day he was born! My husband, Lucas, and I stare at him for hours in awe that we created this gorgeous being together.

Before I even knew that Joaquín was going to be a boy, I hired my maternity/newborn photographer Brittany of Brittany Lauren Photography (you can see the maternity photos here and here). She is not only one of the most talented photographers I have ever met, she is also a wonderful person that I now consider a dear friend. Because of my pregnancy and birth complications, I was unable to do the newborn photo shoot as early as I would have liked, thus Joaquín was about three weeks old in the following photos. However, in my opinion they came out perfect and I will cherish these moments that were captured forever.

Which photo is your favorite? To be continued. . .
