Upstream Bohemian: Asheville, North Carolina
First Impression
While I have visited Asheville, North Carolina countless times (I even lived there for a year), I have yet to find a property that feels like “home.” All you need is two minutes at Upstream Bohemian and that feeling is achieved! Whether winter or summer delights are sought, this charming mountain getaway provides the perfect natural stage.
Location
Surrounded by the enchanting Blue Ridge Mountains, the Upstream Bohemian is just far enough away from downtown Asheville to escape the bustle, but close enough to enjoy conveniences. The choice is yours: relax at home amidst some of North Carolina’s most magnificent vistas, walk along the French Broad River directly across the street, or go an adventure in the city and experience “The Land of the Sky” for yourself. The Asheville Regional Airport is only fifteen minutes away by car.
The Rooms
Upstream Bohemian is as luxurious as it gets. This eco-friendly modern residence features natural wood and stone finishes throughout, as well as contrasting textures and patterns. The natural light lends a spotlight to the bohemian decor and relaxed mountain vibe.
You will find five, yes you read that correctly, five bedrooms throughout the house. Each room has a different bed configuration, thus everyone in your party will be happy. I have been traveling for over a decade now and these are truly some of the most conformable mattresses I have yet to encounter! Four of the five bedrooms are pictured, you will have to keep reading to see the fifth, as I saved the best for last.
The Bathrooms
Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom that is spacious and perfectly compliments the elegance of the adjoining room. Some of them have showers and some of them have baths. All of them have stunning surfaces and fittings. They even have touchless toilets! The master, however, is my favorite, since it is a massive walk-in double shower.
The Extras
The living room, with comfortable furniture and decor, sitting room, and fully equipped upscale kitchen, is where everyone will want to gather to enjoy their time together inside the house.
Although, if you need some “alone time”, there is plenty of space both inside and out to find your own serenity. There are multiple porches and the views will leave you speechless! Melt away any lingering stress next to the fire pit. Experience a changing landscape that is unique to this elevated vantage. Low morning clouds give way to the sun breaking on the horizon, the daytime offers magical “cloudscapes,” and the evening sky fills with a million stars.
The rooftop hot tub will quickly become your best friend. It was so amazing, we almost had no desire to explore our surroundings.
