February 25, 2021

While London is a fantastic city — both for the people who live in it and visitors — there is so much more to see in the south of England. Whether you are looking for a different city break or a chance to get out and explore the coast, there will be the perfect spot for you. If you are looking for some travel inspiration for your next UK holiday, then you are in the right place.

Brighton

Brighton is sometimes referred to as London by the Sea. For those of you who want to discover a new city, that is not the capital, you should definitely check it out. Brighton hosts a brilliant mix of the traditional British seaside, mixed with its own distinct character. From the boutiques and cafes in the Lanes to its gorgeous architecture and ocean walks — it is easy to be smitten with the city as soon as you arrive. It is simple to get there, as trains are regularly travelling to Brighton

Cornwall

Cornwall frequently comes out as one of the best places in the UK to visit. It has earned its place in so many traveller’s hearts and you will understand why when you go there yourself. Its beaches are absolutely breathtaking. Walking along them feels like walking through a travel brochure. Take your pick from just one and be sure to take plenty of pictures while you are there. It is not just the gorgeous scenery that makes Cornwall so special, but the warm welcome of the people as well.

Devon

Not to be outshone by Cornwall is the wonderful Devon. It also hosts a wonderful array of beaches that are just begging you to explore them. You do not need to piece together a perfect itinerary to discover Devon. Let the weather and your mood decide what you do. Whether you want to explore Britain’s longest footpath or indulge in cream tea — you can create your very own perfect weekend away with whatever you end up doing.

Bath

Maybe your ideal holiday is not exploring, but relaxing. Bath is the place for you. After all, it was historically built for rest and relaxation. You can enjoy the same natural hot springs the Roman did at the Thermae Bath Spa. If you are interested in finding out the history of this beautiful city, a trip to the Romans Baths is definitely worth it. Bath is the kind of city that lends itself to sightseeing by foot, so you can take your time strolling around and soaking in the sights.

You are truly spoilt for choice when it comes to the south of England. You can get lost in nature or discover a charming city. You may have to plan more than one trip. Where in the UK would you like to visit?
