Why Cornwall Should Be On Your Bucket List

September 9, 2021

The UK is not often known for its beautiful beaches or stunning coastal locations; however if you are looking for a new place to visit this year in the UK you should absolutely choose Cornwall.

Situated on the South Coast of England, this county is one full of stunning countryside, cliff side towns, and the most beautiful scenery you have ever laid eyes on.

Today we want to talk about why you should be adding Cornwall to your travel bucket list this year.

The Holiday Parks

One of the things that the UK truly excels at is creating the most comfortable holiday parks for you to visit. You can easily find one of the best holiday parks in Cornwall for families online and take a trip here to enjoy the facilities as well as the relaxing vibe of the county. Cornwall has so many great holiday parks to choose from and is somewhere you should definitely visit.

The Lifestyle

When you visit a place like London and then travel to Cornwall — the stark change in pace of life will surprise you. Many of the places in Cornwall offer a slow and more traditional English way of life, and this includes hosting summer village fairs as well as having small parties in the streets and shopping locally for produce. This is a truly traditional English location and it will show you the best of rural English life.

Pasties

If you have never heard of a Cornish Pasty — this should be the first thing on your list when you visit. A Cornish Pasty is famous the UK over and is filled with a mixture of meat and vegetables that will warm you from the core and provide you with that comforting feeling. Cornish Pasties are amazing and they will be something you remember long after you leave.

Beaches

There is no way to speak about Cornwall without mentioning the beaches. The UK is full of cooler coastlines as you head north, but the climate in Cornwall is much more pleasant during the spring and summer and as a result is ideal for a summer holiday. With coastal spots such as St.Ives and Lizard Point to enjoy — you will also be able to see some of the most stunning sunsets you have ever laid eyes on while enjoying a drink on the beach.

The Language

For people who are not from the UK, you might not be aware that English is not the only language spoken. Scottish and Welsh are languages in their own right, and Cornwall has its own language too that is spoken by the locals. To get a true grasp of the history and culture of this place, learning a little about the language can be fun.

The People

When you visit Cornwall you will instantly become a welcomed guest everywhere you go. The people in Cornwall are incredibly friendly and generous; and don’t be surprised if you get a few free pasties or pints during your stay here!
