Finally, A Good Looking Fashion-Hiking Boot Hybrid
Since massively reducing the use of airlines due to a certain ilness doing the rounds, many people decided to stay in their own countries, taking simpler and shorter trips rather than going abroad, hiking and walking trips have become more popular than ever as a result.
So what do you need in order to plan a fun hiking trip? We do not know about you but the first thing on our list is a decent pair of boots for obvious reasons!
Sadly, a lot of the hard wearing and water resistant boots on the market can be kind of boring looking (or just straight up ugly!) and in contrast to this, the more fashionable “casual” boots tend to wear out and disintegrate after a couple of uses. Brands get away with this low quality type of footwear by saying they’re “lifestyle” shoes rather than for anything in particular – so it’s always been a choice between looking good or being practical.
That was until we found the Blundstone All-Terrain boots (also available for men).
Blundstone have always put out some high quality boots, the previous series have been pretty tough in their own right as they were originally designed around Tasmanian farming boots. Though, it is fantastic to see them stepping up their game for the more adventurous types who want to get stuck into nature.
So what does the All-Terrain Series actually do for your feet? Well, Blundstone have been boasting about the “seriously tough” Vibram sole they’ve built this boot on, which is an exciting extension on to their classic shape. It is jam packed with a bunch of features such as anti-slip soles that clean themselves by design, we also love the fact that these can be slipped on due to the laceless boot — just perfect for when you are camping or even changing quickly outside.
We have our eyes on the Rustic Black and Rustic Brown colour variants in particular, they give off a vintage vibe but with all of the benefits of a modern boot. The All-Terrain series is also available in sleeker finishes, the classic “Black” and “Cocoa Brown”. Due to the Chelsea boot shape they can be dressed up or down — it certainly helps that farm chic is a trending vibe right now, these would go perfect with this look, matched with denim but these boots would not look out of place with a dress (or tucked in shirt!) either.
Let us know what you think of the Blundstone All-Terrain Series, what other walking boots do you love? And do not forget to stay hydrated and bring sun-cream!
