The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Costa Rica
The Monteverde Cloud Forest is a natural biodiverse reserve a few hours away from the Costa Rican capital, San Jose. It consists of 6 ecological zones, cloud forests, 2,500 plant species, 100 species of mammals, 400 bird species, 120 reptilian species, and thousands of insects (so, do not forget your insect repeller).
