The capital city of Karnataka is referred to as the Silicon Valley of India. But the pleasant climate and topography of Bangalore lend it a green side that nature-lovers will be in awe of. In fact, the most prominent IT exporter in the nation is also the third greenest city in India.

You can try finding hotels in Bangalore near these striking locations to rejuvenate yourself amidst the incredible greenery. Without further ado, learn about the beautiful parks in the productive metro city.

1.  Freedom Park

Timings: 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM

The Freedom Park in Gandhinagar was opened for tourists in November 2008. Originally, it was a prison known as Central Jail. Now, it has been revamped and reformed to host a library and jogger’s stretch. You can also take your kids to the park and let them have fun in the play area.

Freedom Park also has some fascinating sculptures of prisoners of the old days to capture the original essence of the location. A dedicated place for holding protests is also available inside the park.

2.  Lalbagh Botanical Garden

Timings: 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Literally translating to “The Red Garden,” Lalbagh Botanical Garden was built in the 1760s. Started initially under Hyder Ali and known as the Cypress Garden, it was completed by his son Tipu Sultan. Spread across 240 acres, the garden is home to more than 1800 plant species from Persia, Afghanistan, France, and other regions.

You will also find several wildlife species in the garden, including parakeets, mynah, purple moorhen, and Brahminy kites. The lush green lawns, fountains, and lotus pools further increase the beauty of the place. The 3,000 million years old Lalbagh Rock is another popular attraction for tourists.

3.  Cubbon Park

Timings: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

A list of the best places for nature lovers in Bangalore cannot be complete without including Cubbon Park. The majestic park expands over 300 acres and is surrounded by oaks, Gulmohar, cassia, and more. The mini amusement park inside it is perfect for kids to play games and ride the famous toy train Putani Express.

It is also home to the second largest aquarium in Bangalore. Several activities and events, like photo walks, keep taking place at this green belt in the city. You will find several Bangalore hotels near this region so that you can easily explore the century-old historical buildings and statues near the park, including Cubbon Park Museum.
