How To Look Significantly Better In 12 Months

Most good things take time, and that is especially true when it comes to boosting your appearance. While there are things you can do — like visiting a quality salon — that will instantly improve your looks, the majority of things require a little bit of time and/or patience. 

The payoff, however, is worth it. Taking a long-term approach towards improving your appearance can provide greater improvements that last for longer, and in many cases also offer auxiliary benefits. 

In this post, we will run through a few key strategies that will have you looking much, much better within 9 – 12 months. 

Start An Exercise Regime

Everyone knows that exercise can be great for elevating your appearance, but it will not do it overnight. You will need to go to the gym (or whatever exercise you decide) on a consistent basis before the fruits of your labor begin to pay off. 

Start a regular exercise routine today, and you should begin noticing an improvement in around 6 – 8 weeks, and from there, things will only get better. After 12 months, you will likely have a toned body, better posture, and bright skin.

Improve Your Smile

A great set of teeth not only improves your appearance but also gives you the confidence to flash your smile big and wide. In this day and age, there is no shortage of ways to improve your teeth. If you just need them to be a little brighter, then you will need a lot less than twelve months — in fact, some teeth whitening procedures take as little as 30 – 60 minutes. 

If your teeth are not as straight as you would like, however, then you will need a bit more time. Some orthodontic treatments, like invisible aligners, take 3 – 6 months, and are a good option for many, especially since the price for invisible aligners is more affordable than ever. More complex orthodontic cases, however, can take twice as long. 

Build Your Wardrobe

Rocking a great outfit is an easy, effective way to elevate your appearance. The problem? Unless you have a personal stylist and/or bags of cash, getting those great outfits can take time. If you are like most people, then the best approach will be to slowly build your wardrobe so that, in twelve months’ time, it contains nothing but quality items that pack a powerful punch. 

Give Up Bad Habits

Your bad habits can take a big toll on your appearance. Just think of what smoking, drinking, lounging around, and eating unhealthy meals can do to how you look. Giving them up can have a hugely positive impact, though it is of course not realistic to give up every bad habit you have in the blink of an eye. But over a period of twelve months? That is doable. Start by getting rid of the most damaging habits (smoking and drinking, if you do either), before getting to work on adopting healthier habits, such as getting enough sleep and eating healthy meals. By the end of the year, you will find that not only do you look much better, but that you feel a lot better, too.
