If you are anything like me, then you have searched ”XXX Games” at least a few times. There is nothing wrong with this by itself, but what comes after is…debatable to say the least. Every single result is about the same 2-3 platforms. I am not kidding. It is either gamcore, Nutaku, or lewdzone. Yeah, we get it, these platforms are popular… But it is really not fun to see the same game pushed to my face every day, the same banner flashing at me, because they paid the most, and most certainly not fun when you see how many good, innovative games they decline on monthly basis.
So, I took it upon myself to take a look at various platforms to see where I can find the Top XXX Games, while also avoiding mainstream platforms I mentioned above.

What Qualifies XXX Games As TOP
This will be heavily subjective, but I think many of us will agree on our definition. In my mind, the Top XXX games are the ones that check these boxes:
- Technical stability
- Understanding their genre
- Innovation
- Good artstyle/graphics
- Plenty of 18+ content
I will go over these points in more depth, but for now let me say this – I hate when XXX Games suddenly transform into some drama and story takes lead over actual 18+ content. I do not know why so many game developers do this, but they do. Sorry for the short rant, but had to get that one out of my system.
Technical Stability In XXX Games Is Surprisingly Good
I’m not the only one who finds this surprising, right? When I started playing XXX Games, I expected a lot of bugs, frustration and overall, just a poor experience. This never happened, not even once. Heck, even the games that are on steam and they are released by a seasoned veterans have many bugs in them, yet the XXX Games I played ran surprisingly well and even bugs were rare. There are some exceptions, but overall, I think majority of XXX Games easily fulfill this one.
Understanding XXX Games Genre
This might sound like a no brainer, but I believe this is one of the most common issues I have with porn games. Many of them seemingly forget they are made for people that seek 18+ content. A lot of games either take too long to get to the good parts, or the good parts are simply underwhelming, as if afterthought.
So many times the game has potential, but there is so much yapping between the scenes, so much plot I could not care less about, and too little 18+ scenes to enjoy. Hands down one of the most common issues I have with XXX Games.
Underwhelming Innovation In XXX Games
This one is not as important, but I believe it is worth mentioning. Due to the way our market works, XXX Games and adult games in general do not receive as much funding and support as we would like. Yeah, the sales are there… But a lot of platforms will refuse these xxx games, payment processors also just avoid you, advertisers…well the same story all around. Getting your game out there is tough. Due to these reasons, big companies do not really want to touch it, because it can be bad for their PR. Result? Innovation stagnates, heavily. Every now and then, a good indie dev brings something new, but overall, there has not been a proper shift since VR. I do not blame the developers, I blame the overall market.
Artstyle Makes Or Breaks Sex Games
It is not an exaggeration to say that art style in Sex Games is the most important thing when it comes to getting your attention. How many of you skipped a game without knowing anything about it, just because the art seemed off to you? Be honest. Good game mechanics are important when you are already in game, but to get your attention, the game must look good as well.
18+ Content In Porn Games Done Right
I briefly mentioned this above, but I want to say it again. If you are making Porn Games, please do not forget what the goal of such game is. Instead of focusing on the story or something that not many people are interested about, focus on fleshing out the 18+ scenes. I know that story can matter as well in these games, I do, but do not go overboard with it… 25 minutes of story for 90 seconds of 18+ scene is not really that great, is it…
Variety Of XXX Games Is Waiting For You In Places You Might Not Expect
So now that we know what makes sex games good, let us talk about where we can find them. Of course, I am not going to talk about mainstream platforms.
To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by the smaller platforms such as Mopoga and Lewdspot and their catalogue of XXX games. Unlike Nutaku, Gamcore and so on, the front page games change every week, so there is always something fresh.
To all of you who are stuck with the big platforms, give it a chance. Even if just for 30 minutes. Pull away from the big banners and see what game developers are up to on other platforms. Perhaps you might be just as surprised as me when you see all the variety of the best porn games.
