The Bahamas: Day 5 (Part 3)

March 21, 2011

5, 4, 3, 2, 1. . . HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Besides the fact that I was over the moon excited to be ringing in the new year in such a fabulous place, I was also ruminating over the fact that this would be the last year that I would ever be celebrating as a single woman.  Next year, my fiance and I would finally be spending a New Year’s Eve together and this time as a married couple.  I wonder what country we will choose to visit for the special occasion?

I do not believe that I have ever shared a video of me before, thus this is a first on My Beautiful Adventures.

Soon after the clock struck midnight the next show for the evening began.

This time, however, most of the show was centered around the dance floor.

Who better to get the party started than the Perullo tag team?

Just so you know, my Dad is seventy years old.  I sure hope I am partying like this at his age!

And if it could not get any better than the above picture, just watch this video:

The ball exceeded every single expectation that I had, so much so, that I am willing to say it was almost as incredible as my previous New Year’s Eve in Rio de Janeiro.  But, the night was definitely still young. . .

Your dad was the life of the party! My dad is Almost 70 as well. He is Colombian and he doesn’t like to dance. He has to Bc my mom loves to dance!!! he was the only man in our home for many years so he had 3 daughters and a wife to entertain 🙂

Well, my Dad probably wouldn’t have been dancing as much without all of the champagne, but yeah he was totally the life of the party!!! I was SO impressed! I adore your Dad too Cata.

Awww too cute! Love that you were partying with your papa! He is adorable!!

And love the vids too, great to put a voice and moving pics to the persona…. You must get tired of hearing people saying it all the time, but damn, you fine girl! The outfits, the hair, the makeup… I REALLY need to step up my game style-wise! Thanks for the inspiration… 😉

Your family looks like fun. Have you guys ever partied with West Africans? In Ghanaian culture, you’re never too old to work it. My octogenarian grandma in Ghana is a dance floor starter 😉

I waiting to see if anyone would say something about him not looking like he’s 70! It absolutely AMAZES me. We have a joke in our family that he’s found the secret to eternal youth. In person he looks as though he’s 50!!! Must be his Italian skin?

What a great way to celebrate NYE’s! I love bringing in the New Year with my family. It is so great to see all the generations out enjoying themselves.

I’m sure you and your husband will find many ways to celebrate NYE’s and make many more memories.

Just wait until you see my Dad party at my wedding! I bet you’ll be taking more pics of him than me haha!!! And yeah, I agree 100%, he doesn’t look 70 AT ALL. Italian skin seems to age very, very well. I knew you were going to love the video of me dancing. I was channeling Kyle Hepp in it. 😉
