Twin: Post 3

March 29, 2012

A couple of months ago I was invited to join TWIN: Toyota Women’s Influencer Network.  It is such an honor and privilege to have joined a community supporting a brand that I so passionately believe in.  Over the upcoming months you will see more posts regarding my relationship with TWIN, however, in my third post of the series I thought I would look at 3 reasons why you should drive a Toyota Prius.  You can read my other posts of the series here and here.

Cleaner

The Prius was designed to have extremely low environmental impact, as are all hybrids.  There are no tailpipes on them, which means greenhouse gasses are not being produced.  Last time I checked, green is in, and these vehicles are zero emission cars. You cannot get greener than that!

Cheaper

No matter where you live, gas prices are at an all time high.  Since, the Prius requires less gas, you will immediately start seeing more cash in your pocket in no time.  Also, because hybrids in general are not driven as fast as oil-burning cars, the long-term wear and tear is less as well.

Longer Lasting

Due to the fact that the Prius has less moving parts (all there is in an electric motor is a coil and drive-shaft), it is rare that you will discover problems with it.  Maybe you will have to replace a battery every 3-4 years?  They are ultra reliable and almost maintenance free.

Disclosure: I was selected for participation in the TWIN community through a program with Clever Girls Collective. I did not receive any compensation for writing this post, or payment in exchange for participating. The opinions expressed herein are mine, and do not reflect the views of the Toyota.
