Endnote: Sadly, these are the only photos that I was able to take of my beloved Buenos Aires, Argentina due to coming down with a nasty stomach virus that forced me into the hospital and thus ruined my husband’s 28th Birthday and the rest of our trip.  Thankfully, I will be returning during the upcoming Holidays and will have another chance to photograph one of the most photogenic city’s in the world.  In the meantime, please feel free to check out other photos from my previous 13 trips to Buenos Aires.

Andi, these are such lovely, atypical shots of Buenos Aires! Brings back great memories from my time there. I’m so sorry to hear you were sick during your trip there! I hope you’re all recovered. I’m off to peruse photos from your other 13 (wow!) trips there!

Thank you X a million for your thoughtful words! Being sick was no fun, especially since we had waited a year to take the trip and I felt like I had ruined my hubby’s Birthday. He spent his special day in bed with me. But, there is always a next time right? XO

So sad you got sick–SUCH a bummer!–but what gorgeous photos and it looks like you had a lovely time beforehand! You’re definitely one of the reasons why B.A. keeps climbing on the list of places I want to go…and these photos aren’t helping 🙂

Lovely photos! I want to visit Buenos Aires again! Hope you’re feeling better. Being sick is no fun, especially when it involves hospitals in foreign countries.

Oh no! Poor you that got that stomach virus! I so know how that is – I went through the same while I was in Paraguay actually and it took me time to recover from. (I also lost around 75% of my hair exactly 3 months after that – which I was told can happen when having had a serious infection in the body – I seriously hope you will NOT!!!!!).

We never went to Buenos Aires at our South America trip unfortunately and we really regret that. Nice pictures of yours!

And I recognize that bridge! Puente de la Mujer without doubt, designed by the engineer Santiago Calatrava – one can not mistake his unique way of designing things!

…and a fun thing is that I’ve just written a post about another creation of Calatrava before coming here to comment, so forgive me for leaving a link to that post within this comment:

    I hope you’re 100% recovered by now! Hugz x 100!

It took me 3 months to recover, but I never lost any hair. I am sooo sorry you went through that. Big, big hugs!!! The Puente de la Mujer is a place that is very special to me and I have a lot of unforgettable memories from it. I will check out your link now. I’m 100% recovered I think? I hope the same to you darling!

Oh, dear I can’t believe you were that ill! Being sick is horrible, but getting sick in a foreign country is just the worst feeling. (Even though Argentina is probably like a second home to you now!) The photos you did manage to get are just gorgeous, as usual. Thanks for sharing them!

At least I wasn’t sick when I was with you! I would have just been devastated if you had traveled to BA and then not have been able to see each other. I forgot to add the pic of us grrrrr!!! Finding it now.

UGH, getting sick is no fun when traveling!

Mine and Kike’s anniversary is next Saturday, so I planned an early Thanksgiving for him and his family, hauling back cans of pumpkin mix, cornbread mix, etc. Then, of course, he gets sent on his mission a week early, meaning no anniversary or Thanksgiving for him. How can three of us eat a 10lb turkey!?!?

Saturday morning in Boston: sunlight, crisp air, maple syrup coffee from Vermont, and my reading on gender-based violence. I took a break to return to your blog, to your affectionate images and your wonderful words. It was the best pick-me-up I could have wished for. I’m sorry I’ve been quiet around here lately — my mind is still wrapping itself around being here, my heart is still learning how to be (back) in the US, how to be a student, how to balance. Your site is such a sanctuary and it’s a treat to return here and remember wandering. Big love to you — and hopes that the next trip to Argentina is entirely healthy!

Lovely shots and angles…love the shot of the cobblestones. You have a great eye! So sorry to hear you were sick 🙁 That happened to me in Jordan, when I was six months pregnant and I had to be rushed to the hospital. So glad it wasn’t serious for you!
