Before I write another word, let me premise this post by saying that this is my favorite giveaway in the history of My Beautiful Adventures!
A lot of love and energy went into creating the perfect nursery for my son Joaquín. Since I am a perfectionist, I thought it was complete by the time he arrived. However, a couple of days after he was born we realized that a clock was missing from the room. My Mom said that she wanted to buy one for her grandson and promised that it would be extra special. Extra special it was — in fact, it was beyond perfect.
Sticking with the travel theme of the room, she found a kids world map clock at The Big Clock Store. Not only am I obsessed with the colorful design, but I adore that it can be personalized. I also like that the clock is non-ticking, which is perfect for a nursery, which needs to be as quiet as possible. For our personalization, we added Joaquín’s name and some Spanish along with the English, as well as hearts where Buenos Aires, Argentina and Charlotte, North Carolina are on the map as a little reminder to our son where his roots are planted.
One day while I was playing with Joaquín in his nursery, I noticed that Antartica was misspelled. I quickly notified the company and they sent me another clock immediately with the corrected spelling. However, this time they had forgotten the personalization. Again, I was sent another clock, this time thankfully everything was correct. Since I now have three clocks, I thought why not give the one away without the personalization to one of my fabulous readers! The value of this gorgeous clock is around $100.
