If you have not already read my Week One, Two, Three, and Four posts, please click here, here, here, and here so that you can get all caught up. As you know, I have chosen to makeover my kitchen. Week Five of the One Room Challenge is all about revisions.
We had intended to change the lighting situation, as well as take down some of the backsplash and replace the drawer pulls, however we quickly realized that we had gotten in over our heads and revised our plan. Instead of doing any renovating in the kitchen, we would stick to decorating only. While I have not yet come to like parts of the backsplash, I do however love the white subway tile that is already there. Thankfully, the lighting situation and drawer pulls have grown on me with time. I am not even sure I will change the latter now?
Do you like the backsplash? For me, it looks too masculine and I do not like the darker colors. I would prefer it if they were lighter or it was just all white subway tile.
Do you like the lighting situation? At first I thought these lights were too long, but now I like how dramatic they feel. I also love the pattern on them, I simply wish they were in gold or brass.
Do you like the drawer pulls? Like the lights, it would have suited my taste more had they been gold or brass, although since everything else in the kitchen is either stainless steel or silver, they match perfectly.
Would you change anything? Please be honest, as I love hearing other peoples opinions, as it inspires me. Next week is the big reveal!

I love the light fixtures! I’d check Pinterest for any possible tutorials on painting the fixtures with gold spray paint to give them a brassy/gold look. It might be worth it! The backsplash is great, but not really “Andi”. This “Andi” I speak of is either rose gold or clean with white subway tiles. The drawer pulls are decent and doable. Maybe you can paint those too? I’ve heard Rustoleum makes some great paints that really stick to metal. I’ve really enjoyed following this series. 🙂

The lights are gorgeous, and I like the drawer pulls. I agree about the backsplash looking manly, but I think it looks fine. With all your beautiful additions already, it should fit right in!!

I love, love, love those lights! And I actually think that, depending on what you do with the rest of the kitchen, the backsplash looks awesome and not at all too masculine!
Thank you!!! I think about the backsplash every day haha! Some days I am in to it, some days not. When I have flowers in the kitchen it makes it seem less masculine. The lights are cool right?
