Plan A Rocking Party

April 11, 2018

From office gatherings to Grandma’s birthday, parties will come and go in a flash, but the memories can remain for a lifetime. If you have been given the pleasure of planning a party, then you know how much work can go into making it enjoyable for all attendees. From the caterer to the rentals to the decorations, there are a number of details to keep in mind for your best party ever.

Food

The most memorable part of any party is the food. You want to make sure you choose something for everyone, which can be quite the tricky endeavor. You will need a menu that appeals to a wide range of tastes, which can mean a lot of time and work. Kudos to you if you can cook for a party of 500, but more likely you will need some assistance. Hiring a caterer can be both necessary and incredibly helpful, as it will be one less thing you have to worry about. Not only will they prepare, bring, and serve the food, they will also make the presentation look beautiful. If it is age-appropriate, you should also consider using a liquor delivery service to spice up the beverages at your party. Plenty of local stores, such as Joe Canal’s liquor outlet in New Jersey, can offer discounted prices and delivery, which is one less hassle for you, party planner! By buying locally, you also have the advantage of benefitting your local economy, that only adds to the reasons to celebrate. With food and drinks covered, you can free up your time for other pieces of the party.

Event Rentals

Unless you are lucky enough to find a venue that will provide tables and chairs, you will need to purchase these and more. If you host parties often, it might be a good idea to buy your own equipment and amenities. More cost-effective, however, is the option to rent what you are looking for. You will need an event rental company with plenty of options; bounce houses for the kids, banquet tables and chairs for small and large groups alike, and tents for outdoor celebrations, plus more. Whatever you need, you are likely to find it available for rent at a cost that will suit your budget nicely.

Decorations

And you will not want to forget about decorations! It may seem like a waste to buy a lot of decorations for one event. Luckily, you have options. By making DIY crafts, you can reuse materials you have around the house to decorate. Try drinking glasses and fresh flowers from your garden as centerpieces. Once the party is over, you can wash the glasses and put them right back into your cupboard, and you will not have spent a penny. Also, by using glass tableware, you can have a classy feel to your gathering while keeping it environmentally-conscious. If you have too many guests to accommodate out of your own household, ask friends, family, and neighbors to borrow some of their glassware for an eclectic and homey vibe. The money and waste you save from this will have you jumping for joy at the end of the day.

All in all, your party is what you make it. Planning an event is no doubt an overwhelming and big job to take on. The good news is that you can feel proud of the smiling faces and wonderful memories that you helped create by being the best party planner ever.
