Chew your food

The aim of balanced eating is to have a diet, that you can continue for your life and not for few months or weeks. Striking a balance is important in this regard. A proper balance of proteins, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins, minerals and fat are required to keep your body healthy. A great way to make your diet interesting by including, fruits and vegetable of different colors to your platter. Colored fruits are rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. You can also opt for sweet vegetables, to curb your craving for sweets.

Balance the nutrients

Proteins add energy to the body and calcium makes your bones strong. You need to include these in your daily diets. Lack of proteins slows up the growth of the body, so even if you are a vegetarian, you can try out proteins from different sources. Same for Calcium, dairy products, green vegetables and beans are rich the source of calcium, so you cannot afford to exclude those from your diet. Healthy carbohydrates and whole grains also give energy to the body. Research has proved that individuals whose intake of whole grain is more, tend to live long. You can even mix the grains to add variety to your diet. Controlling the intake of sugar and salt is the most important aspect of a healthy diet.
