• Plant pots – Why not place some plant pots on your new decking so that you can tend to them as and when they need it? Not only will it help you keep an eye on them but it can also make your decking an even nicer place to be. 
• Barbecue – As we have already mentioned, you can place a barbecue on your decking. This is a great way to use your decking, and you can rest assured that your decking is will not be damaged by your barbecue or the heat from it. 

Scratching Your New Composite Deck

Many people might be justifiably concerned about scratching their decking. The bottom of chairs and tables could potentially scratch your new decking but the good news is there is a way around it. Sticky felt pads that are available from many hardware stores can be added to the bottom of the chair’s legs and any table legs. The felt pads can help to protect your decking from scratches. They tend to be used indoors when you place furniture on wooden flooring but the work just as well on composite decking. 

There is no reason why you cannot put patio furniture on your composite decking. Please just make sure that you remove any cushions during the wetter seasons. This is to ensure they do not become damp. During the winter months, you might wish to cover your decking so it remains in good condition at all times. 

As you can see, composite decking is very versatile and it can be used in a variety of ways. All you have to do is choose how much decking you need and what color you would like it to be in.
