You can use wood pulp rolling papers, but there are more varieties specially tailored for weed lovers, including hemp-based papers, longer-sized papers, and even packages that provide you with the extra paper to make crutched with.

Practice Makes Perfect

So you finally decided to learn how to roll hemp. In that case, you will need to buy yourself some raw CBD flowers and the best papers possible so you can make your own CBD joints.

If you have never rolled cannabis joints in the past, you may just be here for some clear indications, but for the sake of the beginners amongst you, we have just set aside a step-by-step guide on how to roll perfect cannabis blunt or joint.

Rolling a spliff (a mix of cannabis and other herbs) or a joint is a skill that necessitates some practice to reach perfection.

Make sure you follow our step-by-step guide to ensure you are doing a great job, and you will be rolling delightfully smokable joints in a trice.

  1. Preparation

As with everything in life, good preparation is the gist to your overall success in joint rolling.

To make this possible, you should prepare all these elements at the beginning, or even one at a time, as you put together the joint depending on your preference.

Bear in mind that your joint preparation will usually take a bit longer than the assembly or rolling of the joint altogether.

  1. The Bed

To set the bed of your joint is basically just having your favorite paper ready.

Depending on the length of your joint, you can use shorter or longer paper, but just be sure to double (even triple) check that the sticky part of the paper is head up and runs along the top edge of the paper, as it is quite annoying to learn that it is the wrong way round and will not stick shut.

It is quite common for some weed smokers in Europe to use two papers to make one longer bed when longer papers are not accessible or available. To do so, you just stick two papers together to form an “L” shape.

  1. The CBD Flower

To prepare your CBD flower, you will have to grind it up in small prices that will roll and smoke more smoothly.

In case you do not have a grinder, a pair of scissors will do, or if you do not have any tools at hand, you can use your fingers to pull it apart. As for its dosage, cannabis flowers do not have a standard dosing structure. Their potency is measured by a total concentration of cannabinoids (chemical compounds that act on our ECS to stimulate physical and psychoactive effects) and is expressed in a percentage of mg/g. It is highly advised for beginner-level smokers that you start with a small amount of cannabis flower and gradually add in your dosage until you find your sweet spot.

  1. The Tip

Some papermakers supply some free cardboard filters or joint tips alongside the papers to save you ripping up the package your papers are stored in.

The shorter edge should be the length of your tip (also called a roach, crutch, or filter), and before rolling it around, you should make (tiny as possibly ) zigzag in the paper a few times and then roll the cardboard around the” M” shape.

  1. Assembling Your Joint

Here you should decide on which side of the joint you want the filters to be on — for better results, you may want to place the filter on the same side as your dominant hand to lead the rolling process. Place the CBD flower and the tip onto the paper, shaping it so that there’s less content next to the tip and more at the end, and distribute it properly so you can achieve the typical shape of the joint.

  1. Rolling Your Joint

The last step of your rolling is to carefully pick the joint between your fingers, pinch the paper around the filter, and gently roll it into your preferred conical shape.

Fold the paper’s front edge as tight as possible and lick the glue to seal the joint closed.

Rolling the perfect at first can be incredibly annoying, but that does not mean it is impossible. It will take a bit of practice but mastering the art of rolling will allow you to purchase purer CBD flowers instead of pre-rolls.
