What To Pack For An All-Inclusive Resort Vacation

February 11, 2021

You are planning a getaway at an all-inclusive resort. You found a great package that includes a fully-equipped suite, free breakfast, and discounts on resort activities. The plan is to hop on a plane, arrive at your destination, and simply enjoy everything the establishment has to offer. As you prepare to pack for your vacation, you cannot help, but wonder what to take. While what you pack will depend on your needs, here are a few things to ensure you have with you for your trip.

Essential Paperwork

There are some things you simply cannot leave home without when going on vacation. If you were to depart without your wallet, license, credit cards, cash, and passport, your trip would end before it begins. You also want to ensure you have car and health insurance along with any passes, confirmations, or tickets for admissions to events and activities you intend to participate in.

Medication

Another essential to pack for your resort vacation is medication. Depending on where you are traveling to, gaining access to necessary medicines is challenging. So, ensure that you have your prescriptions filled in advance. If you take daily vitamins, supplements, or over-the-counter medications, ensure that you’ve packed these as well.

Toiletries

While most resorts provide guests with complimentary soap, shampoo, and lotion, these may not be ideal for your skin type. Purchasing these items at the resort costs an arm and a leg. Therefore, you will want to pack some toiletries. When possible, stick to travel-size products, so you can conserve space in your luggage. It also makes it easier to get through airport security.

Accessories

Just because you are on a relaxing vacation does not mean you can’t be stylish. If you enjoy wearing accessories like jewelry, sunglasses, and hats, create a list of basics and bring them with you. Do not pack anything that is of significant value, as you do not want it to get lost or stolen.

Comfy Shoes

While you plan on staying on the premises, there are many things to get into at a resort. Therefore, you want to have the appropriate shoes. You can bring a few pairs of sandals or flip-flops for the beach and pool. However, you will also want to pack a pair of sneakers or comfortable flats for walking and outdoor activities. Try to stick to neutral-colored shoes to reduce how much you have to pack.

Casual Clothes

You will not need a full wardrobe while vacationing at a resort. Most of the time, you will be relaxing and engaging in fun activities. So, bring along some casual clothes. Typical resort wear might include long flowing dresses, pants, and rompers. These are all lightweight and easy to fold into a suitcase. If you plan on going to a restaurant, bar, or festive event hosted by the resort, then you will want to pack one or two evening outfits. These can still be comfy and casual.

Swimwear

If there is one thing you will need on your resort vacation, it is swimwear. Since you will likely spend several days hanging at the pool or the beach, you will want to bring a few sets along. This way, you can switch up your style and give your old swimwear a chance to dry properly.

Electronics And Entertainment

When you are not participating in activities or events at the resort, you will need something to keep you entertained. Do not forget to pack your smartphone and digital camera to get lots of great pictures. You will also want to bring a laptop or tablet for watching movies, browsing social media, or completing online tasks. Other ideas include books, games, and, of course, toys if you are bringing the kids.

From the beautiful beaches in Mexico to California’s warm shores, vacationing at an all-inclusive resort is a fantastic experience. It is convenient, affordable, and ideal for any time of year. The best part is, you do not have to go anywhere to have a good time. As such, you do not have to pack so extensively. As long as you have the items listed above, your resort vacation is sure to go off without a hitch.
