My Darling Boy,
Years before you entered this world and stole my heart forever, I would imagine you in my dreams and pictured what a gorgeous mix you would be of your father and I. When we discovered you were a boy, we decided together we needed a strong name for you, as we both instinctively knew you were going to leave an impact on this world without even having met you yet.
We chose the name Joaquín, as it means “lifted by God“. Anyone who is in your presence for even just a couple of minutes can feel that you are indeed a special person. I would even go as far as saying that you are a “chosen person.” You have the most radiant energy and although I recognize that I am biased, not a day goes by where a complete stranger does not walk up to me and tell me how lucky I am to be your mother. I agree, the luck is all mine.
I do not know what you are going to do with your life, but I know it is going to be big! I cannot wait to be your #1 cheerleader, supporter, and fan. I will always have your back sweetheart.
When I took you in my arms for the first time after you were born, you felt right where you belong my beautiful angel. I always new I wanted a daughter, however I never knew how much I would love having a son. And when I say love, I mean love with every cell in my body. You are a true mama’s boy.
So, on my second Mother’s Day I want to let you know that I promise to always love you and do my very best to raise you to be a kind, brilliant, and most importantly happy person. Thank you for being my greatest blessing!
