America: Perfect Restaurant Steak

America certainly has some of the best steakhouses. However, if you are wanting to be able to create a delicious dish yourself, without having to head out, this perfect restaurant steak recipe is the way to go. The best part is, it is also versatile so that you can choose a variety of cuts, like these usda angus options.

Firstly, oil and season your steak to your liking (parsley and herbs are a great way to maximize the flavor). Then preheat the grill to 500 F/260 C. Add on your cast iron skillet and gather your tongs, butter, and steak. Once heated, place it on the skillet for 2 minutes before turning it over for another 2 minutes. Finally, top with butter and transfer to a grill/oven to cook to the desired level. As a side, steamed asparagus and mashed potato is a great choice.

Japan: Fruit Sandwiches

While putting fruit in a sandwich might seem a little strange at first, this Japanese treat (Fruit Sando) is delicious at any time of the day! Simply put your favorite fresh fruit and whipped cream between two slices of milk bread (shokupan), and you will have a beautiful and sweet dessert. Strawberries, kiwi, mango, orange, and blueberries are some of the most popular choices because of their symmetry, but do not be afraid to get creative.

South Africa: Koeksisters

Known as one of South Africa’s most iconic treats, these confections are perfect for those with a sweet tooth and are surprisingly easy to make. Start off by making sugar syrup (lemon juice and vanilla essence work great), followed by an easy dough that is braided into a strip. Then, place in oil and fry until golden brown. Finally, dunk in the syrup and cool in the refrigerator. It is oh so easy and oh so delicious. Check out the koeksisters full recipe for more information.

Malaysia: Rojak

Sold on the streets in Malaysia, Rojak is a spicy fruit salad that contains a variety of different elements. Both soft and crunchy, it is perfect for those looking to try some incredible authentic cuisine. For a delicious base, try using tofu, pineapple, cucumber, peanuts, sesame seeds, and jicama. For the sauce, use a teaspoon of soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sambal belacan, hei ko, and sugar. Toss it all together, and you are done.

Netherlands/Belgium: Dutch Pancakes

Everybody loves pancakes, but if you are really looking to spice things up, try creating Dutch pancakes, the perfect mix between your traditional recipe and crepes. All you need are some basic ingredients, including flour, caster sugar, water, salt, milk, and eggs, and you are ready to begin. A poffertjes pan is perfect for creating mini pancakes, but you can also turn carefully on a skillet. Do not forget to top it all off with powdered sugar and your favorite syrup.

Venezuela: Cachapas

After a more savory pancake option? Then why not try delicious cachapas made from corn. This thin pancake is cooked on an iron plate and is filled with fresh cheese and butter, making it the perfect snack. The batter is made using corn, cream, salt, butter, and corn starch, while the filling uses queso fresco cheese. However, variants include ham, chorizo, and even diced jalapenos.

Germany: Currywurst

Made of steamed then fried bratwurst and seasoned with curry powder and curry ketchup, currywurst is a German treat that is favored by many. Choosing a recipe can be difficult, as everyone has their own idea of what makes the perfect sauce. However, onion powder, cayenne pepper, smoked, paprika, and curry powder are the most popular choices.

Italy: Arancini

You may have had arancini at your favorite Italian restaurant, but you probably did not know it quite simple to make yourself. This treat is quite simply described as a deep-fried risotto ball and comes with a sauce for dipping. First, combine your rice, cheese, and egg in a bowl, so that it can be easily molded. Then fill with your desired filling before coating in egg and breadcrumbs. Once done, drop in oil until they turn a lovely golden brown.
