Watching | American Idol and The Handmade’s Tail
So, I was loooving the diverse cast of American Idol this year, until this past Sunday when my two favorite singers were voted out. It is interesting that one was transgender and the other was an immigrant. They clearly had the best voices on the show and yet “America” wanted them gone? Did anyone else notice this as well? I am not happy, however, I am happy that The Handmaid’s Tale is back. Best.show.ever!!!
Reading | A Higher Loyalty
I have a love/hate relationship with James Comey, as I am sure most people do. Still, it is a fascinating read. I find his deep devotion to truth, loyalty, and ethics extremely admirable.
Working On | Remodeling Our House
We have finally unpacked every box in our new home, thus it is now time to start the remodeling process. I know it is “a good problem” to have, but the thought of living through renovations with a toddler for months on end gives me heart palpitations. However, the end result is going to be extraordinary. I promise I will definitely document the process on My Beautiful Adventures.

Next week I get to celebrate Mother’s Day (my favorite day of the year) and our 7 Year Anniversary! And the reason why I am excited is. . .
Planning | Our Trip to the Turks and Caicos
In honor of both of those holidays I previously mentioned, my husband decided I deserved a much-needed vacation in one of my favorite places in the world: Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. This destination holds such a special place in my heart, as the last time we were there I was pregnant with Joaquín and did not know until the day after we returned home. We are going at the end of the month for a week and we cannot wait to experience the Caribbean ocean with our son for the first time. If you have visited Provo with a child before, please let me know in the comments if you have any recommendations. Both times I have been, the majority of my days were spent lounging on the beach sipping cocktails.
Loving | Our New Home
The moving process nearly killed me, but to be able to wake up and go to sleep happy is the best damn feeling! This might just be our forever home. I cannot wait to share photos, however I want to wait until it looks “perfect.”
